Hi everyone! Today we’re doing a bloom transfer wave inspired by @Sheleeart. It was tough going at first, but it ended up coming out nicely. It’s definitely one of my favorite pieces from the last month. I hope you enjoy the video and give this technique a try. 💙
PILLOW PAINT - PPG Multi-Pro Interior Eggshell White (47-3110)
POUR MEDIUM - 35 grams BEHR 3300 + 70 grams Polyurethane Triple Thick Water Based Semi-Gloss
*Tube Paints - add a small amount of paint to PM until you get desired color. To thin use JoSonja Gloss Varnish mixed with water (3:1 ratio).
*Pigments - disperse in JoSonja Gloss Varnish then add small amounts of PM and mix. Use BEHR 3300 to thicken, if needed
SHELEE ART CELL ACTIVATOR - 4 grams paint + 12 grams Australian Floetrol
COLORS:
Tri-Art Liquid - Neutral Grey (base coat)
Amsterdam - Persian Rose
Liquitex Basics - Green Grey
Liquitex Basics - Blue Grey

This Little Piggy - Storm
This Little Piggy - Golden Peach

Hi Kathy! The last month or so has been fun trying these different techniques. I was getting a little bored with straight pours, flips cups, etc. so learning the bloom recipe and all these variations has really helped get me out of that funk. I hope you have a great weekend! 💙

Great instructions August and great idea about the varnish. I could master the gray background. Then I'd call it a day before the frustration set in. Beautiful wave addition!

Wow have you come Full Throttle my friend absolutely gorgeous work I see a recipe that was given to me as well maybe you could let me know how well that works versus what you use before I have the same recipe but haven't tried it I can see by your work how beautiful everything turns out and your cells are nice and uniform I remember talking to you not too long ago and you were thinking of dabbling into this and now look at you wow very proud of you my friend keep up the great work❤
I was so scared of blooms, lol. After I went to Vegas and met Shelee I got this recipe and I love it! I’ve been playing with it for a few months now and am really enjoying all the different ways you can use the recipe, not just regular blooms. I hope you’re doing well!! 💙
@@AugustsAcrylicArtI'm doing pretty good my friend my friend Lori from art lore give me this recipe and I was just surprised that it called for more of the triple thick than the actual deep bass but she knows what she's doing LOL finally found my own recipe for CA a fraction of the cost and it produces cells like I've never seen few more tests pieces August I have to say I cannot get over how far and fast you have come, so happy for you I'm definitely going to try that recipe just got one from g e e he helped me perfect my pouring medium recipe looking forward to watching more of your incredible work I want to try the hide and reveal so bad I am so intrigued with that just really pushed me into it I was going to say hope you're doing well but I can see you are haha

Cindy Vanderveen in Vancouver BC has been doing this technique for 3-4 years quite beautiful work check her out
The name didn’t sound familiar but I just looked her up and I have seen her work. Very pretty. She does a lot of transfers it looks like. I’ll have to look for her wave transfer videos and see how she’s doing them.
