I am using switch dgs 1210 all cables are connected without order, i cannot find which port is linked with which system, i don't see any console port also, pls give solution
In your case you may have to trace the cables manually if you cannot console to the switch. If tracing is not an option, you should figure out which computers connected to the switch then schedule a maintenance window to turn on those computers. Go to the switch, connect your laptop there and ping to all of them at the same time (easy with a script) and make sure you get all the reply back. Unplug a cable in your switch, then ping again --> Take note the port and the IP of the computer that does not respond and remove it from the set of the computers that you ping next time. Repeat the steps, until you figure out which ports connected to which computers .
