She won a singing competition the year before (1995), produced an album that year (1996) and competed in AJL at the end of the year (she wasnt sure if she wanted to be in AJL at first as she was sittting for the national high school exam), won it and rose like nobody's business after that, there was no turning back. I remember I was 12 and thinking ...hurm can this Siti Nurhaliza sing (I never heard her sing live before that and not many Malaysian singer can perform live well especially in AJL coz they got nervous), and this AJL singing totally changed the game. She was Malaysia's sweetheart in no time and raised the bar everytime she came out with a new album. That's siti and that was how she came to our world !
