Started playing for 5 months! every metallica riff i have learned to play so far is by this man! what a legend. thanks and hope you do all their songs!
“I would like to thank you for your service”. Finally after 30+yrs of playing the guitar, I have finally found someone that I can understand. I cannot play any other bands music nor can I read or anything like that. I’ve always struggled so bad with the strumming side however by learning a couple of Metallica riffs many many moons ago, I now do have the ability to create my own music. But still can’t play any riffs other of Metallica which is & has been since 1986, my most favourite band of all time.
I never heard this song until watching this and it's now already one of my favorites. I don't know how you do it but the way you teach makes it really easy to understand. I've already gotten most of the parts down pretty easily and you've just posted the video.

There are tons of lessons on line. But Carl connects fluidly. Just a true badass. Steve Stein is the only other guy that connects with me on this level. There are some great TH-cam teachers out there. But Carl and Steve have that magic. You know. That shit that really makes you want to play.🤘🏻Thanks for all you do.
You’re probably really busy with these but I’m sure a lot of us Metallica fans would appreciate some more kill em all lessons. My personal picks would be jump in the fire, motor breath no remorse and metal militia if you can find the time. Cheers and keep up the good work :)
Carl, at the end of solo, just before the unison bends, he is actually doing a couple natural harmonics. You can see this in the live video from May 2012 in Portugal. It's subtle, but you can tell from the video.
