It’s crazy saying Mbappe come prem to be considered the worlds best but Haaland came done it all and is still under appreciated and disrespected massively even after breaking the record in his first season. People even go as far as saying every striker can do the same if they played for city. Guarantee if Mbappe did go to the Prem and kill it he will also be under appreciated.

I don't think Ligue 1 is that great, but the problem with all these convos is I don't trust that English pundits watch enough international leagues to compare them as much as they do. Like at 22:00 Tego talking about who PSG face in their league vs. who Real Madrid face in theirs. I know women's world cup was not a planned discussion for the show. It just came across like Tego and Specs were the only ones who appeared to have some level interest in women's world cup/women's Football. I understand there are different levels of interest. Although it did come across as quite dismissive ( .but hey what the feck do I know)
Just to add further info on what Tego said for anyone who maybe interested in women's Football
1) Tego spot on about USa team being the most dominant in Women's Football due to early investment from the Schools, College, Club and International level. There league Football has been professional/structured for a while.
They have won the world cup the most times...4 times winners the last in 2019 ( not long at all) been to 5 finals and 3 semi finals. This World cup was the only time they have never made a semi -final. They have also won 2 olympic golds last being 2018 ( All women's senior teams participate in Olympics)
2) Tego was spot on about the rise of women's Football in Europe .Our WSL league is getting stronger and more competitive. The French, German and Italian league are getting stronger. French teams like Psg and Lyon who have been dominating the champions league..in particular lyon.
.In regards to the Spanish team 5 yrs money has been invested in Spanish Football.. especially with Barcelona and now real madrid
Barcelona are current Champions League winners. They have won it 2 times..last 3 yrs
Tego was right about the Spanish dominance at Youth and 20 level...They are the current under 17 and 2O world cup winners
Although Tego suggested that US women's Football are in problems...I would say it's to early for that yet ..( Although Americans pundits view it as a crisis lol) They do need to adapt to different styles of play. Mbappé is the best player in the world, despite playing all his career so far in Ligue 1... he has played UCL every year and has had 2 stellar World Cups to date, as well as Nations League.
Joining EPL or Real/Barca will of course enhance his reputation, but his quality is undoubted
He’s a challenger but he’s just not up there to be the best. Haaland will have to get it because he has a treble to show to tell you why he deserved it. Goals are great but you’ve got to dominate leagues with your team to show you should win it. Just took at the previous winners, maybe at Madrid he can reach his full potential but it’s hard to go up against a guy who has a team made for him.
