i look up to you a lot, your art skills are incredible and your music production skills are also amazing... u put your whole self into the act of honing your skills, and it makes me want to light a fire under my ass and keep learning and getting better and keep perfecting the craft Thank u for making this video it feels like a guiding light of sorts. sincerely a fan!!!!! i will be tuned in for when you drop an album!!!!!!!!!
I just came across this... This is a really thought-provoking video, and if you call yourself a fake then I must be lower than fake. Worst than a con artist. You are very skilled at art and maybe in music (I wanna listen to it first), more than me. Yet you don't even have an album while I've released a bunch of music that I felt so embarrassed on releasing but I did it anyway. Your talk of fear and the fear of approval/reception really gets me thinking about what I've posted online. But I guess it's much more tamer than yours. I am wayyy younger than you, so it seems my journey of being a creative is still at its beginning. Happy new year!
i guess my point got like swallowed under a barrage of fear (which proves it, ironically) - in any case, more than worrying about reception, my point here is that it's better to release, make really embarrassing shit and power through the inevitability of feeling fake than to not do anything at all and wait until the day you feel like a "real artist", in my case that day never came after all these years and i'm not counting on it anymore, but i believe there is a purpose in any sort of creative work. granted, i hope this video didn't discourage you, it's just me rambling about having feared doing bigger things and it catching up to me, i've had the algorithm pick up old ass animations i've made outside the intended audience and yet 15 years later i still treat youtube as a video dumpster (most of my channel is uploading music i like, but anything "minnomou" is my music). ig i could work on the presentation if i make another one, happy trails.
