"Darling will you stay right here and shake this frost off my bones" every time I hear that line I fall more in love with the mother of my child. Currently trying to learn it to play at our wedding
They should call every song he writes "The Truth" because he is the most real singer/song writer on the planet right now. I said to him, when I saw him in Chicago in November, that he will not have the ability to hang out inside the bars much longer, that he was not going to need a car or van much longer either, because he was getting ready to be HUGE! He looked kind of puzzled and I said, " You will be on a tour bus after this next record." All he said was, "I don't know man. I'd hate to pay for the gas in one of those things!" LOLOLOL. He said, " I CAIN'T" and ". . . THE GASE" in true old Kentucky style. He's as Eastern Kentucky as the pines over the mountains, and the girls with high cutoff jeans, and the way the sunlight uses the mined mountains as a movie screen. Truly the best talent in the genre' in a LONG, LONG time. Sturgill saw it, and so will everyone else sooner than later. His Indianapolis show for May is already sold out! Buy the ticket as soon as they are released or you'll stand outside and wait. It is worth ten times the price no matter what the price is. This kind of raw, non-deliberate talent only comes once or twice in a person's life time. Don't miss his meteoric rise! You will be able to tell your children that you bought him a PBR and talked arrowheads with him like I can if you catch every show until you get the chance to share the presence with greatness.
Zach’s good. And he’ll get better. But he’ll never be tyler, tylers a generational talent. And he carries the pain and pride of Appalachia in his music. You can replicate that
And Tyler had the balls to alienate half his fan base standing up for what’s right. Long violent history may be the most pivotal work of country music in decades.
That's the truth. I'm from Southwestern VA right at an hour from WV and KY both. Grandfather was a coal miner, and there's a lot of em still around. The first song I heard of his was Nose on the Grindstone and I'd never had music hit home quite like that. Three years later and I still get a knot in my throat listening to some of his music. He's talented, and he's sticking to his morals. It's nice to see folks like that making it. I had the pleasure of seeing him live in Pikeville on New Years Eve 2019, and a couple days later I saw a picture of him hours after the show with a broom in his hand still helping clean up. There's a kindness and a truth to him.
My father-in-law is a pretty talented picker, and after a few Christmases, Easters, and hang-out nights on the three-season porch with a fire going, I've since learned that such venues are where the best music in the world can be heard.
Jason Isbell has been my favorite singer songwriter for a long time. Tyler is right up there with him. I was blown away when I stumbled on him doing, God Damn Lonely Love yesterday.
@@timobrien1030 Just discovered him on TH-cam music Jason Isbell radio. He's a keeper. Another special singer/songwriter, different genre - not sure how I'd categorize it or if it even needs a category - is Gregory Alan Isakov: th-cam.com/video/2KHJyij1z_0/w-d-xo.html
Sorry but i like tyler by himself no backup singers no rendition with other artists trying to sing his songs. No supporting band. I like tyler with just his acoustic so raw and vulnerable and i really feel his words and songs better that way.. anybody else feel the same way?
I’m not saying it’s comparable, but you’ll see Tyler and Zach tour one day soon, and hopefully in 20 years from now again. Reminds me of the Elton/Joel nostalgia tours they did. Love em both!
Listening to this reminds me how much his voice has matured and his overall style has changed and matured, he's still the same old tyler but you can tell he's become more comfortable with his vocals and playing! What an amazing artist!
I hear this song at least once a week and as a grown 32 year old man I can relate as far as back as 21 years old. There’s always that one who got away. I still tear up to this day.
Okay so I never saw this til today and Im not used to seein him that young so when he first started singing I was like "damn this dude is really nailing down tyler's voice" haha
You remind me of a Sunday Back home in ole Kentucky With the church choirs just beltin' to the pines And I love you like the mountains Love's the way the mornin' opens To a soft and bright greetin' from the sun So if it'd make you stay I wouldn't act so angry all the time I wouldn't keep it all inside And I'd let you know how much I loved you every day So darlin', will you stay right here And shake this frost off of my bones? Well, I used to ride a Mustang And I'd run that thing on high hopes 'Til they raised the price of dreams so high I couldn't pay So I let that car just sit there When I should've took you driving With the windows down while the music played So if it'd make you stay I wouldn't act so angry all the time I wouldn't keep it all inside And I'd let you know how much I loved you every day So darlin', will ya stay right here And shake this frost off of my bones? Darlin' will ya stay right here And shake this frost off of my bones
Sick I love this version imagine being able to hold your own playing with Tyler Childers I can keep up with the guitar and Harmonies but to sing a verse or chorus just me I'd crash and burn in a spectacular fireball of death. The last Frost buddy sang sounded like Tyler
In 20 years the kids will be in awe of these videos. Well, I am not a kid now and this is just PURE GOLD! If you haven't seen Tyler & Food Stamps live, what are you waiting for? Get on that plane, in the car, bus or train and get on it!
Patrick..... Where is the makeup and the Star Covered eye????? oh thats the other guy!!! GREAT VERSION of this TUNE... turn on many folks with this link! THANK YOU BOTH!
Crushin' cans and playing acoustic guitars on the porch. Fucking incredible! Man I need that in my life. I play but sometimes you need a buddy to get into it with. Amazing stuff!!
Everyone comparing these two makes me sad. Music is most fun when you're jamming with friends, sharing with others, being part of something bigger and not just constantly alone in the spotlight. At least I assume.
I can’t imagine trying to sing another guys song right in front of him. I bet the pressure is so real
That back porch has got some incredible acoustics.
Young Tyler was as badass as he is now. Good Lord what a blessing he is to my soul.
Mine as well
yes
Same ...
"Darling will you stay right here and shake this frost off my bones" every time I hear that line I fall more in love with the mother of my child. Currently trying to learn it to play at our wedding
Do it, would make any girl with a ring on her finger cry tears of love

You said it so right and so true bud. Much love from Texas.
chad wagoner got the chance to finally see him after a few years of listening to him and it’s hands down the best concert I’ve been to
Agree from Roscoe IL
Check out Jason Isbell. He's on the same level if not better even though I love tyler. Tyler loves Isbell and drive by truckers too.
@@ascientist3659 lol, you obviously haven't listened to him or you're a troll. Either way your opinion is void.
Who else would give the world for this moment with Tyler... I raise both hands for that opportunity
My right ear freaking LOVED THIS!
I thought my headphones shit the bed
Lol dude
lol! I was getting on Amazon to get some new headphones
Seeing young Tyler makes me think that videos of Zach Bryan now will one day feel like this
Zach’s good.
Yeah Zach is good, no doubt. He’ll never be a Childers though. He’s good, but he ain’t that good.

@@drewharrison1840 You're crazy. Zach is 10 times better than Tyler. Now finding out that Tyler is a white apologist he can hit rocks.
The second verse of this song might be my favorite verse in any song I’ve ever heard

That guy has so much to offer to the world. The rare thing is that he saw it for himself and offered himself to bring it!!! Wonderful!!
Jason Isbell has been my favorite singer songwriter for a long time. Tyler is right up there with him. I was blown away when I stumbled on him doing, God Damn Lonely Love yesterday.
Same. Both are amazing and I'm glad to have "found" them on spotify by accident. Now I can't stop listening to them both.
Haha same here. You’d think I’d get tired of them... but no🤣

too bad Isbell went woke
Drinking the right beer brewed in WI , Milwaukee . ❤
And 7 years went by boys....Christ
I know it😂
This song moves me!
The beer can crinkling at the end is the perfect way to end it

a guitar and a dream look at him now

On the Porch or in Front of Hundreds with a Band TYLER is Awesome Love his Songs........
How awesome would that be, to have Tyler playing on your back porch.

such amazing talent
Tyler is just straight amazing.
2013...now I understand...the rest is history.
I feel like this guy is gonna go places
He already has. He received 2 Grammy nominations.
Wow!!!! ***tears*** this link/song, was just sent to me & now I'm in tears! God Bless you for this!!!!
I love the unpolished nature of the recording. Its as real as music comes
Tyler singing and pat doing background vocals on the first chorus sounded great
@Michael Edwards I think he's OK but sat next to Tyler, he got showed up
Love this, hope ol Patrick is doing good. Remember this like it was yesterdy
Were you the one recording it?
Love this song so much. Thanks for the music Tyler and Patrick!

Holy shit that’s Tyler I didn’t recognize him at first !
This is the difference...and NO disrespect, between a great singer...and a good singer. The business is fickle!
Each voice has a different melody
Oh, the feels 🥰
Awesome boys
Merci pour cette super de ballade
Yessss pat!!! Love it!!
Great!
Thank you
Pat is great but Tyler is a super nova. How is he sooooo good!!! He sings my soul
If you didn’t watch this video 9 years ago,, are you even a true Tyler Childers fan?
Is that green shirt his favorite
How'd it feel to play and sing with a future legend?

what year and model is that Martin....sounds dang good bro.
My GOD
How does that voice come from that body?
misplacedangler its the throat
Damn he's a kid here . They must let you drink beer at age 13 in Kentucky . LOL
Amazing. Why can't I find this song on Spotify? I'd listen daily.
Michael Payne they just recently took it off. It's a shame
ericibarra123 I found it on Bandcamp and loaded it onto my Spotify account. Cost me like $8 for the entire album I think.
It is on Spotify
Red Barn radio 1 and 2 it is on Spotify
What quitars are y’all playing
Martin HD28 and Taylor 410
No disrespect to the other gentleman but im glad tyler stuck solo on this song
If only the left channel had audio
Why go private video ?
Love his voice, It makes me want to try and be a groupie
That guy was trying so hard to keep up vocally
... man that big TV is blocking the view of the world..
Tyler should colab with Zach Bryan
Bet Tyler has better furniture now
Skinny jeans. 😐
the guy on the right sucks
