Hi Janus! Great video as always! Your filming style to introduce cities/places is awesome! Trondheim looks very nice. The colorful houses attract my attention. So cute 😍 Thanks and can't wait to see another wonderful cities of Norway!
Thank you Dina, I really appreciate! Norway’s cities and towns are indeed really lovely and serve as great bases to explore the fjords and nature parks. Stay tuned for more on Europe’s beautiful North
Fantastic video. I loved the editing and the videography paired with the music/sounds. Only misleading thing is that you have footage from another church in the cathedral-portion of the video. The interior you showed here belongs to the smaller Vår Frue church which is closer to the city square. A very nice church on its own, but a completely different building in many ways. I urge your viewers to find photos or videos of the interior of Nidaros Cathedral, its very impressive and though different, has the same impact on you as many of its more well-known counterparts in Europe.
I’ve been to Trondheim twice, because I have friends from there. I enjoyed going there mid May because of Constitution Day. People wear the traditional, regional dress. It’s very beautiful. The weather is changeable, but nice for spring in Europe. Some restaurants could be closed due to the holiday period, but I’ve enjoyed that time of year. The bike lift is a bit difficult for some people. I saw more people ride up, without using it, or walking up with their bikes. It’s a coordination thing.
That’s awesome! I really enjoyed my stay in Trondheim too. It might be one of the more underrated places in Norway and it’s definitely worth a visit 👍😊🌺
@@januslog geographically, it reminds me of Berkeley, California. It’s so relaxed, but the energy of Scandinavian countries in the spring is so special. They don’t take the sun and warmer weather for granted, unlike the people from coastal California, like me. I think the culture really shows itself nicely at that time.
Thank you very much! I did a whole series on my trip with 6 documentary episodes and some additional city guides. You may want to start with this video: th-cam.com/video/LM615Mh8Gdg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=EspaMVp35H1ntLYO
Trondheim (Nidaros in old) were the center of power in old Norway (pre viking age to late medieval age). We got a saying in Norway; If you remove the history of the people of Trondheim from the Norwegian book of history, you would be left with only the book covers.
Hello I really liked your videos, thank you very much for these beautiful montages, I want to ask you a few questions if you allow me: according to your videos you took this trip by car, did you use campsites or wild camping? Is it possible to get an idea: how much did this trip to Norway cost you? And thank you very much
Hi and thank you! I used a combination of campsites and AirBnB. I did not go for luxury but did also not opt for the cheapest places either. Having said that, my trip to Norway was amongst the most expensive trips I’ve taken so far, only comparable to Switzerland. Depending on where you stay and the time of the year, I’d say you have to calculate with at least about $150/day on average for accommodation. Lofoten will cost you way more than that, while some less-known sites in the middle of nowhere will be a bit less expensive.
So when you say the "river nidelva" you're basically saying the "river nid river". "Elva" means "the river", so maybe the "river Nid" is better in English. Also the the ancient name of the city is "Nidaros", which means the "outlet of the river Nid". Thank you for a nice review of the town!
I live in Trondheim. Its a beautiful little place ❤
It really is! Greetings to beautiful Trondheim 🌺

Thank you! I must have indeed mixed up my footage of the churches as you’re already the second viewer telling me this

God video. Jeg vil besøke!
Thank you! It’s a great city, definitely worth a visit 👍😊
I feel like you put the interios of "Vår frue" into the Cathedral? or did I miss something?
Thanks for watching! I was not in the Var frue church so can’t say what the interior there looks like.

Thanks so much for the correction, I really appreciate
Just to add a little perspective, Trondheim is over 1000 years older than USA as a country.
LGBT rainbow in a cathedral - what a sacrilege :(
God loves gays, deal with it
