It's interesting to note how far they sometimes push the idea of Equestria being a matriarchy despite politics having no place in the series. Sure there's the fact that most political leaders in Equestria are mares, but in this episode we have Rainbow's line 'don't think we're gonna take it easy on you just 'cause you're a stallion'. It's a mirror to a real-world taunt, and I find it interesting that they chose to just come out and say it. Thinking about it also brings to mind more subtle references, such as in The Best Night Ever, how much of a prissy _princess_ Prince Blueblood was acting like when he was cowering from the cake-covered Rarity because 'he'd just been groomed', while Rarity, having been pushed past the breaking point, was all to happy to share the filth. Although, considering how far off course we are from Lauren's original vision for the series, I wonder if the matriarchy thing is something she had in mind, or if it was Meghan's inclusion?

This episode made me sad. I'm the only girl with two brothers in the family. They always drive me crazy, but I still love them as their sister ❤❤❤
