  • On March 19, 2023, we headed out to the Everett Railroad to chase one of their first excursions of the 2023 season. Doing the honor of pulling the first Steam into the Cove excursion was their popular 2-6-0 #11. Join us as we catch this mighty little mogul pull her 4-Car consist unassisted over the entire length of the Everett Railroad's mainline between Hollidaysburg and Martinsburg Junction. Awesome video with great run-bys ....I was amazed at how scenic the route of this little surviving shortline is. Here in SCPA we always hear about places like Strasburg RR and ETB which is making a great comeback, and the Reading &Northerns 2102. Back under steam, but this is a great little steam operation. I noticed at least a few industrial customers, and I assume having this freight business is what has allowed Everett RR to keep up the trackage and keep this great little steam loco in running condition. From their website , it looks like they are running steam this weekend...on Saturday. July 6, 2024!!!

Glad that the Everett Railroad have saved the rest of all the equipment from the former Kiski Junction Railroad!

There actual using the locomotives steam to heat the coaches as they did back then. How come other railroads don't do that?
