It's a good truck it has a d13 engine I don't like it to me it's like driving a Honda Civic over a muscle car it feels computer-controlled which it is compared to direct bottle when you give it throttle and it kind of feels like you're on a slingshot or a rubber band instead of having a nice solid push as you give it throttle is the best I can describe are company has 20 of these trucks and we put them through hell we have a lot of things that are kind of stupid that go wrong with them a lot of light bulbs that go out windshield wipers won't work correctly stupid things like that they throw codes all the time but otherwise the tenant fire up and get you down the road I don't know what the fuel economy is
Any idea as how to disable or turn down the distance alert? I drive a 2018 and the constant beeping all day long drives me crazy. The alert over rides the radio and trying to listen to a book is pointless, because if the alert goes off, you have to replay what you missed 5x or more.
Nope, you can turn down every alarm except for the distance alert. Get used to it too, because it used to be where companies just bought the on guard system and installed it separately. Now the manufacturers are installing it from the factory itself. Built completely into the system and prewired to your speakers. Volvo, Freightliner, and KW/Pete are ALL doing it. Oh and no new trucks are being made with manual transmission anymore, except for maybe your traditional long nosed trucks. All the modern conventional are being made NEW only with automatics. So if these are things you don’t like I suggest finding an older truck or buying a long nosed truck.
@Lyndy Stokes Ultimately through trial and error, I did. On the front grill where you can see the connection point for the sensor(its black and flat with a orange ring around it)just pry the two apart slightly and there you go. It’s like plugging one end of an extension cord into the other. Once this is done, you will have the check engine indicator come on. Re connect the two completely and the light will go out. It wasn’t the best option but in this case the only option. Good luck

I have a 2022 Volvo v71. Same controls on the wheel. Have you figured out how to turn the pop up notices off. I don't need to know that it's icy out every five seconds.
What like about Volvo is that they have their own engine and transmission boxes. They have a long history of building trucks

You have to be sitting still. Use the buttons on the right side of the steering wheel.
