Lily and Marshall are the most relatable couple. Most of their problems involve clashing life goals or finances, not cheating.
He's her safety net, her consolation prize, the nice guy she settles for when she can't have the life she really wants.
Lily most relatable moment albeit leaving them to a 10 episode breakup is when she has strong fear of getting married and leaving her goals behind. She just wants to find more of her inner aldrin before she becomes part Erikson. Altho her move involves almost costing her friendship with Ted also
@@davidz3879 nahh. She loved him
They are also the most ideal couple as they have been together since their first day of college and only broke up once before getting back together.
@@laurenpatrick4609 She chooses to leave him to move 3,000 miles away & only came back to her safety net & consolation prize when her attempt at a new life failed badly. Even then, only after Barney visits her to encourage her to return.
Top 10 most relatable moments.
1st scene: "I'm too old for this"
Yep, I'm relating.
"You're going to get through this, come home, get into your big pants, and take a nap!" Probably in my top 10 favourite and self said phrases😂
Jessica Glitter should've been in HIMYM for more than one ep. Space Teens is hilarious!
How's your beaver?
The Time Travelers for me was the most relatable episode. I've lost and been left behind by a lot of people so that single shot of Ted alone in the bar with barneys "you're all alone ted" echoing, really hit home
See for me at first when I saw the show, Marshall losing his father for me was the more painful thing. Lost mine before 20. So a lot of my twenties and adulthood was guesswork. It was like that for a long time. Though I did get through that. Now the second most painful episode is the one I find hitting home. As yeah I got left behind by a ton of people. Now as things are turning around I find some in my corner that I never would have thought. Some I am very glad to have there. Others 🤷♂️.
Being 40 i feel that all the time. Being an introvert makes it worse. I want to have someone in my life but at the same time i don't like being around people and i suck at making a conversation
@@theceng yeah man its rough. theo von has that one quote where hes just like being lonely doesnt really feel like you dont have anyone, you just feel like no one has you. And i mean, that's whats portrayed in the time travelers. I mean im only 20 so i don't have the same experiences as you my friend but i mean everyone's moving on and moving forward and while im not really in a place to complain, no one really needs me yk.
i also feel that contradiciton where you want connection but you hate being around people, that sucks. it kills bro it kills, things'll work out for us
@@toalladepapelI hope so
For it was the episode where Ted and Robin having a hard time to hang out with each other after a breakup that's relatable
Can't even say how many times I've binge watched the whole series. 😅
I binge every 6 months
@@austinysla6331 Relatable
I just finished again! However I never ever watch the last 2 episodes. If you leave them out it ends with Barney and Robin walking out of the church. It’s just perfect🤍
8:38 (#3): I’ve had the “What am I doing with my life” feeling before, but roughly last year, when a relative made a happy announcement, I was happy, but that feeling hit even harder and I began to experience depression (which I’m still recovering from)
Marshall and the job search ... can relate. I have had one or two (or six) dry spells when it seemed that I couldn't find any kind of work, even that for which I was severely over qualified. I actually got told that by an interviewer, that they couldn't hire me because I had too much experience.
Going through that right now
Just like the friends video "top ten times friends told us life was gonna be this way but it isn't, they shud do this too ten time how I met your mother told us romance is easy but isnt
@@austinysla6331wow that sounds insane having too much experience that’s why you dont get hired? Lucky you 🥲
Barney: see whenever I feel sad, I just stop being sad and be awesome instead. True story. Relatable quote
Nah but the skittles scene kills me everytime
Another honorable mention: Wooo girls!
2:21 😂 Absolutely been there! Everyone needs a reason to put on pants in the morning.
I’ve told my best friend when he & his girlfriend; also my friend; one day have kids, I’m gonna love the heck out of those kids. He said “I would hope so”
Even still, I still have this fear that the two of them will eventually never wanna see me or hear from me, even when a time comes that I have my own kids
Platinum rule if i'm not mistaken the name of the episode, the one where they say you should not date your colleagues or be close friends with your neighbors is SOOOO relatable!
The most relatable thing about this show is that when someone is telling a story about their past, it is up to the audience to decide how reliable the story teller is and if some details add up. Are you sure Uncle Barney was really as lecherous as Ted claims? Ted needs Barney to look bad in order to look good.
The Most Relatable Moment For Me Was When Marvin Erikson passed way given my Dad died too I miss him alot
We are so sorry for your loss Jamal ❤
Sorry to hear that man. It’s a pain I all too well understand.
Love this show so much😊❤
Too old for this stuff. I'm 28 dammit. I still watch SpongeBob and power rangers. Never say ur too old despite how old u are
Me too it is one of the very best tv shows ever and has a great cast too 😊
“I just wanna do something stupid”
“I’m something stupid, do me”
Greatest pickup line in the universe
I relate to Robin with her finding out she can’t have kids even after she does not want them. So she starts to think she wants one. Then, she is like… nah, I’m good. I just have cats instead of the dogs 😹
she always wants what she can't have, and that is why she so desperately wanted to marry Barney because he was with someone else(even though it was Barney's plan)
Monica went thru the same thing
ok
@@leonardolim8976 I thought Monica always wanted to be married with kids
@@sandralvacca yys. But I'm saying Monica and Robin both have fertility issues
Very very great fun list I like it a lot very very great job mis mojo one of my absolute favorite list ever 😊
HIMYM >>>>>> Friends
Yes, so why is Friends substantially more popular?
They really needed a cross over seeing those guys meeting their counterpart
Barney with joey and Chandler
Ted with Ross
Robin with Rachel
Lily with Monica and phoebe
Marshall with chandler
@@leonardolim8976 Friends ended before HIMYM began.
@@davidz3879 it still can. Just set it as just a HIMYM episode. Plus they live in New York anyways. Monica and Chandler can come down to visit the gang and one day settle at McLarens and encounters the HIMYM cast
another relatable thing from the show is that you can leave your 9 years long relationship to "find yourself" and go back to him when you failed acting as if nothing happened and expect him to take you back with open arm
Many viewers bizarrely side with Lily & Victoria, saying that they're in the right & that choosing to move thousands of miles away is a good thing & doesn't contradict their claims to be in love with Marshall & Ted respectively.
When Robin and Ted sit on the couch and Ted asks if she loves him and she has to say no. We've all been in that situation of liking someone who doesn't return our feelings and some have been in that Robin's position in that scenario. Sometimes you just have to walk away and it's agonizing.
The Mermaid theory is very very real 😂
A lot of those Barney ones are frightfully accurate.
'🎵 Apple-Orchard, Banana Cat Dance 8 6 6 3...' 😂
'Spoiler Alert' is one of my favourite episodes! ❤ Any episode with Marshall's made up songs is gold TBH 💁♀️
Going back to your ex after your wife died is pretty relatable. Damn still mad about ending guys, sorry.
Looking back now in my mid thirties you do fall out of touch with some people. Some can be quite painful to experience, but… that is life. Glad I do have a best friend like Barney in the best ways. Gets me out of my shell enough to see some fun times. So yes the Liberty Bell episode does get up there on my list. Top 5.
#4 the one friend who remembers everything be like:
Boy have I got a story to tell you.
When youre single but have couples coma💀
Seriously, they need to pay for that skittles episode, I'm craving for skittles every time i see that scene
I crave burgers when I see The Best Burger in New York!
I was around the same age as the characters, so for me it was very relatable because I was going thru some of the same things they were. To this day it is one of my favorite sitcoms because of it. I always saw myself as half Ted and half Marshall. Never a Barney but had friends just like him.
I can totally relate to number 5 and 2
12:28 i thought the mother died during childbirth when they said nth good happens after 2am and the birth was after 2am
Marshall dad sound like a famous starfish
I think watch MOJO has gone down so much like it's about pushing out content vs quality and always trying to push a messege
Jason Segal aka Marshall is awesome in new series Shrinking It
Who is “Robert” Murtaugh?! Did you mean Roger..?! 🤔
Tale as old as time!
It’s Roger Murtaugh… this is supposed to be a pop culture channel. You couldn’t remember (or fact check) an iconic character’s name?
ROGER Murtaugh. Not Robert
Naah I think the first one should be Ted telling Robin he loves her and she doesn't feel the same becouse honestly everybody has have a Robin in their lives
What about finding the one ain’t that the most relatable moment too
No mention about Robyn finding out she can’t have kids…
good video
I think Winnie Cooper is doing cameos to keep up her sag card.
She does a lot of hallmark/ lifetime movies
Nah, Robin should've chosen job in Chicago
How similar both beginnings and endings in relationships are
God bless you all. Have a good day.
soooo gooood
How is it not a bad choice that she “chose love” (but no communication of what was happening) with Don not a bad choice? He takes the dream job and breaks her heart sending her into a spiral….(albiet i hated Don the whole show)
Robert Murtaugh?...
🙂👌
Okay? That place is lame.
Cool
