- Comox Valley Sculptor Pat Acton stumbled upon the Steampunk aesthetic by accident. Acton had been utilizing recycled materials to create his fanciful sculptures when someone pointed out that he was working in the steampunk style. Though he was unfamiliar with the term at the time, he embraced it wholeheartedly. Since then, Acton has continued to create remarkable steampunk sculptures, and his passion for this style has only grown stronger.

Thank you Magda, Pat
So marvelous! I remember when i discovered my adhd and ocd were actually superpowers to be used in creativity, and use them to super focus on the projects i love, right down to the details. I know you can see the magic before it's assembled, and i love love it!!
Thank's Lori, your very kind.
I have had the great pleasure of creating what I call “post apocalyptic utilitarianism” I feel like the term steam punk is just been bastardized by top hats with plastic gears glued to them. So I wanted to term that better fit the constraints that I was allowing myself to work inside of.
I would like to thank Gordon Darby from Shaw Cable for doing such a great job creating this video, it was a pleasure to work with him on it. I would also like to thank Kristina Campbell from Artful : The Gallery for inviting me to participate in the show STEAMPUNK'D . Sincerely Pat Acton.
