Just a thought, I've been around a ton of these motors and I appreciate you showing them running under load. Anyone that will only run a motor on ear muffs needs to be avoided. I've had 'em where they run great on the muffs, but as soon as you put 'em in the water they would stall. Good job mister!

@@kingyschannel3221 Well obviously I would never buy a motor from you. Most reputable shops have at least a tank they can drop their motors in so the buyer can observe the motor under load. Usually this is to demonstrate effective repairs. If I were buying a boat/motor, no way in hell I wouldn't take it out and lake test it. I'd pay for the privilege of doing so. If a seller has no way of demonstrating a motor under load, I'd keep looking.
Running a motor on muffs, proves only one thing, that it'll run on muffs, nothing else.

I think the oil pump linkage needs to be adjusted. It looks like it's smoking more than it should be.
I have a 1998 yamaha 40 with a big tiller handle like that but i want my trim switch on the throttle handle instead of under the tiller arm.

How did you get it to have such good water pressure? Brand new impeller and water pump rebuild and I can barely get more than a dribble. Doesn't even register on my water pressure gauge. I've as the heads and exhaust cover off to verify no obstruction. Still get an overheat alarm. Shot compressed air all through it too.

We just bought a 60 hp 2 stroke
I have a 2000 60 Hp that I snapped 7 bolts off the exhaust cover. You have a lot of knowledge and I was wondering if you had any tips to get them out? Shops say it would cost way to much and isn't worth it. Im trying to do it myself. Please help!
I have the same issue, snapped one so I just forgot about pulling it off
@@HeccasEckerz heat them up high help loosen but the broke ones will have to be drilled out now and rethreaded I did it to my 70 during rebuild
What is the difference between autolube 60 and 70? Is there way to like upgrade a 60 into a 70? You have shown other vids (like that Suzuki 25) of motors that are restricted to a lower rated hp’s that you could easily turn into a higher/unrestricted rating? Is this the case with the 60 autolube?
Prob not much. Could be just a be a bigger carb
yeah 3 carbs at 400 each. plus 500 labor to install and sync. to gain 6 mph on the water maybe.

Sou Vang if you have to mix gas it’s a 2 stroke. Also can tell by age and model
my c60 premix is a better motor. your oil injection is out of adjustment. also your clutch dogs are out of adjustment. prop should not be turning at all in neutral. too much grinding switching gears.
