The quality of the writing is excellent and the acting is delightful. It is how we used to listen to radio.😊 thank you for sharing these gems of Bill Knox.
I like the audio. No offence to anyone who doesn't agree. My dad use to say it sounds like they recorded this in a chip shop. Thank you for this I enjoyed it very much.
It really pisses me off when people snivel & whinge about the audio quality of these uploads. If you can do better then do it. I'm just grateful for the time & trouble people take...
Well said! It’s like moaning about the lack of colour in an old black and white movie! 😂😂😂 I’m grateful to anyone who uploads old radio plays. I listen while I potter about cooking, sewing or cleaning etc.
@@bon1980 Thankyou. Yes, I recognise the title - I’ll look that up and have another listen. I find I’m quite happy to listen to old radio plays or dramas many times over, without worrying that I know the ending! I just enjoy the journey there. I’ve just pegged that one to listen tomorrow. I like Ken Whitmore.
@ Ye s most definitely! I do think I’ve heard Picture Miss Seeton, but I’ve looked it up and I shall begin it again tonight, as my sleeping story. I have an Agatha Christie on every night, if I can find them without noisy jumpy dance music, which wakes me up! I’ve done this with cassette tapes on repeat, since the 1980s, then on CDs in the 90s (both from the local library) and now on TH-cam. I have never needed sleeping tablets, but I can’t sleep without a story being read to me all night on repeat!!! Highly addictive but not bad for me (I hope). It sometimes months for me to actually hear the plot. :) Thanks for that suggestion.
It’s old. It’s the best they could do at the time and many of us love this old sound. Like record players. Clarity isn’t always best, whippersnapper. There’s a beauty to this fuzz
@@christabedwin I became an audio engineer to get rid of trash like this. This sounds like a poor valve radio on AM recorded with a cassette or reel to reel deck. No beuaty to bad intermodulation distortion and no treble.
