The plays stopped being popular on radio when they began to put in swear words, sexual innuendos and blasphemy. The same has happened to the Archers - it used to be the only moral and decent "area of the countryside farming community" and now there is the above plus violence. People who are older used to like Saturday night theatre because the characters were well scripted - now they are all down in immorality of one form or another and it is sickening. We like listening the Saturday Night Theatre from the pre 1990s because of very good script and goog well played characters. This play is an example of the good script and well played characters.
I want to know why even when I give a thumbs up I get this come up again cant youtube do it that if you tick something you dont get it to watch again unless you put the name of it in the search that can't be so difficult to arrange Myself I got plenty still to watch on youtube and my 5 score years and ten is slipping away fast 😮
I did not like this - it was confused listening. The young policeman looking for promotion was not very clear about what he was doing and his wife was totally unclear in her behaviour and trying so hard to put the blame on anyone else - her husband too - was a spineless character! Author should rewrite it or read a few others - the characters even the Dr were all cardboard people and totally unbelievable - sorry but it was disappointing. “Body on the Heath”
