If you want long healthy hair and will be keeping this style in for long periods I would opt for a moisturizer. These gels harden and create lint and friction ( after take down ) . Also this person has straight or straightened hair I don’t believe in making my own personal stereotype so I won’t assume however hair that’s this slick will look differently from other hair texture’s as a matter of fact if your hair is kinky be mindful of using wet products on hair as it won’t be as slick or compliant. ❤

Ok I would love it if you could send me a slowed down version of you doing this. I am white so I do not know how to braid to the scalp or even hold my hands correctly to braid lol very well at all. However I have alopecia and grew up in the East in San Antonio... sooo I’m more hood than most white ppl. So my Gudda lol na my friend she used to just sew me up and stuff- but I since moved to this tiny ass country af town that the black ppl here are whiter than I am- RT. I’m a broke bishhh so I started just doing my own hair(wish I could bolt my hair dwn so I could go back to weaves😞) sooo I started just doing my own take on dreads/plats whatever - I can send some pics to give u an idea of what I been doin. Hi any tips on how to keep dandruff away? I love styles like this but literally one week in each of those patches would have hella flakes. So my problem is always that the style itself lasts long and looks good, but the flakes get so bad it ruins the look and I end up taking them out earlier than I should have to. 😔

Use a toothbrush and some head and shoulders to wash ur hair weekly or biweekly or seebreeze, dnt scratch b4 using the seebreeze tho or u will pay the price!

I use sulfate-free shampoos as well. Look for one of those that controls dandruff. And keep your scalp moistured.
