I will be adding liquid chicken poo to my armory of liquid feeds this year. Have you used liquid chicken in the past? Think the police must have scared off the weed growers as no coir been dumped around near me for quite a while. Good luck with your growing this new season.

I find those plastic waterbutt taps always break so I only buy the copper ones now as they're only a few more pounds to buy.

Hi Terry. I've still got that big celery plant I grew. After you said I should keep it, I potted it back up. I'll have to bring it in from the weather. Stormy here too. @allotmentjoy the weather has been awful Elaine, but it is what we now expect, hopefully your celery will eventually go to seed and give you some free plants, still picking mine out of the greenhouse. Happy New Year and a wonderful gardening journey.

@michaelpithers9626 Hi Mick, mostly comfrey, liquid manure, fish blood and bone and hoof and horn. Log ashes are good too.
I put my spare Rhubarb into 100 litre tubs as I give spare fruit to family and freeze it and I see food shortages coming in 2027 once farmers lose their subsidy and land is rewilded so perennial crops will be worth keeping.

I have some blue pipe. What length should it be for big brassica cages ?
@petewestlake8564 there is no set height, but it will depend on the width, and it is worth messing around until you find a height that suit you. Five foot high is a target.
What height a4e your Brassica beds mine are 4ft 6 but too short but yours look at least 5ft?
@ibrstellar1080 maybe just over 5ft, possibly needs to be 6ft to give plenty of room.
Did you ever consider becoming a farmer ?
@peterpaliwoda1527 I did come from a farming background, but there were no opportunities and went into highway maintenance.
