First Rule of Suisei Fight Club: You always lose to Suisei no matter how strong you are. Not because you're a simp but because she is a comet. Second Rule of Suisei Fight Club: See Rule 1.
Yeah. She can read and pronounce words decently. She just has no idea what most of them mean. She did an unarchived full English only songs in the past and did amazing. Her karaoke of Backstreet boys' "I want it that way" was one of the best in Hololive, even including EN and ID.
Suisei: "I want to get along with the new holoEN members, but I can't speak English." Also Suisei before ending a stream: "See you again, have a nice day. . . . " The overseas viewers: *"Are you sure about that?"*
Sui and Goob meeting in Rust was one of my favorite English interagtions ever, with Gura trying to convince her there was a crate on her roof while Sui acts like she's incredibly suspicious while also sounding astoundingly bored. Her flat tone while concentrating on her words is the best.
I think most English speakers who watch japanese streamers have heard them say "Fighting" before and know the meaning of it. So there really isn't any reason to worry for Suisei.
I mean, it's a bit of a stretch but you could extend the use of "fighting" to imply that you will "fight through the struggle of learning a new language."
Not actually a stretch at all. "Fight" has become ファイト as a loan word that is used as a cheer to encourage people in just that way. It's one of those loans that diverged in meaning since it was taken.
It's not just Korean. Japan has ファイト too, to mean the same thing. Which is probably why Suisei used it. It's one of those JP loan words that turns into a tripwire because the loan meaning has separated from its common EN usage since it was loaned.

Kaigai niki really dodged a bullet there, if we did actually end up fighting Suichan then we’d definitely lose without much of a struggle xD

They use that phrase a lot, but it was hilarious how it turned into a joke there. Well played JP bros
It's nice that Suisei is finally bringing the fight to the British, they have gone unchallenged for too long.
I just love Suisei can pronounce english words really good but not fluent at english
Her *"Hi Honey"* is still the best! xD

That's really nice of her 🙏
If idol showdown taught me anything Suisei doesn't want to fight for our own safety. How sweet of her.
Even if she says fighting, can we even win against her? I see myself getting offed before I even get to my fighting stance.
