The actor who played Figment also played Gonzo in The Muppets.

@Ryan Gomez you're right. I had to look it up since (to me) Figment sounds like a deeper SpongeBob. There is 4 Voice Actors that played Figment, one was Gonzo, none were Spongebob or Spyro The Dragon.
Thank you for posting this! I just took my daughter to Epcot for the first time and she fell in love with Figment the same way I did as a kid! ❤ We have been wanting to hear the song again, as it is on the ride! Finding this video has made my day 🥰

Just a shell of what it used to be. How disappointing. The original was PURE MAGIC beyond words. I cried for days (yes...a grown woman bawled her eyes out) when they closed the original ride. 😢

@@johnnylongfeather3086 It used to be very... almost like the movie, "Legend." It was Very fantasy oriented and just out of this world. Now it just looks manufactured.
@@johnnylongfeather3086 A lot.They gutted the whole thing and halved the length of the attraction. The original version was big and you can tell a lot of production value went in just by looking at the Dreamcatcher machine and Dreamfinder animatronics alone. It was the 80s so most visual effects might seem dated by today's standard but it's still way way better than this cheap cardboard cutouts and screens the Eisner era attractions were known for. And Figment and Dreamfinder were likable characters
There's now a restored footage of the original attraction online if you want to look it up

I wasn't born for the original but seeing footage of it breaks my heart its gone and ill never get to experience it. The energy here is vastly different in comparison.

Thank god they refurbished this ride in 2001. Figment barely appeared and the theme song was gone. YES. I am talking about journey into YOUR imagination.

This looks like a dark ride through an abandoned office or DMV, complete with an eye test 2:42
It also looks almost identical to the Carousel of Progress.. but that was made in the 1960's and still looks better than this.

Why didn't Disney use Figment for anything else? Seems like it would've been a hugely popular tv and movie character.
Then again, I guess that makes it a little more special. It amazes me how many BILLIONS of dollars are just sitting in cancelled Disney attractions. Didn't they make an entire movie with Michael Jackson for star tours?!

Even though I hate that it’s an Online-Only video game, I’m glad Disney Speedstorm lets players pick whoever they want in Local Play.
Figment was a fun, surprise choice for them to add as a racer!

I miss the original one. The origami carousel! The "spooky stories" part. The quake rock wall. The original was so pretty to look at. This is...not. The original one was like stepping into a classic disney animated short. There is no artistry here :(
I just watch a video of the original one because I wasn't alive then and the original blows it out of the water. This feels so bad watching it and seeing the old one. It hurts 😢

I rode this last month, and was able to avoid smelling the skunk stench since I held my nose. Other than that, it was a fun ride.
luckily i have poor olfaction so i get out of most of the time lol
