    I had my first v6 in 2000 , I sold it and went through the competition before going back to a 406 v6 se. Forced to sell in 2010 due to moving overseas but after searching for 12 years I found a one owner mint condition 99 v6. Sold.my 2017 amg and haven't regretted it once

    Great video John.
    French cars of the 90's (and a handful from the very early.2000) were better equipped, more stylish and generally more luxurious than a lot of prestige brands.

      I honestly think they were from making great cars right up to the 406 and 306.....then decided merde was preferable

      I had a DB9 while I also owned a 406 Coupe, and the Pug was way nicer to drive.

    • @markonmotoring
      @markonmotoring ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Stratoszero I actually had a drive in a DB9 and was left a little disappointed to be honest. I think I had built up high expectations and the particular car I drove had the heater stuck on hot and the dashboard looked warn in places so perhaps not the best example.
      I also drive a Lamborghini and Porsche 911 Turbo on the same day and both felt a more involving, dynamic drive but I suppose the Aston may have come into its own on an extended tour.

      @Stratoszero ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@markonmotoring No it was really tiring on a long trip, the steering wheel shook in your hand and it rode like a supertanker engine strapped to a bedframe. After the DB7 they went all Nurburgring and hardcore. No wonder Bentley sell 10 Coupes for every DB11.

    Great video and lovely to see a dealership taking care of the older vehicles as well as the new. I have 7 of these v6 coupes which I have restored, one I have owned from new. I have a selection of colours including the very rare pulsar yellow. They are great cars and rapidly becoming very desirable and hard to find. Great to see you showcasing the car, I also enjoyed your 508 PSE video too and look forward to more from your channel.

    Thanks John. Peugeot’s golden period from 205 to this. I had two 405 and then followed with two 406, all company cars. Loved them both, totally blew the socks of dull competition. They lost their mojo with the 407 onwards. I do want one of these beauties, any engine and I’d be happy. Any chance to test a 405 please, I have such a soft spot for them!

    Yeah between the earlier 'D8' and later 'D9', Peugeot gave the engine to Porsche to play with. The result? 194bhp > 210bhp. There's pros and cons to each of these but when the bodywork looks like it does, engine choice doesn't really matter :D Looking under the bonnet of that one, it may actually be a D8.5....
