These cutscenes were such an ingenious way of telling the story. The way the game would tease you with areas just out of reach and then open them up in such subtle and creative ways was amazing. What I wouldn’t give for another Wario Land like Wario Land 3...
Loved it because it felt like collecting the treasures actually made a difference. The first time playing WL3, I was always excited to see what the next one would do to the overworld.
This game is timeless. 20 years later, I'm ready to go back and run through it all again...even if that means having to deal with Steep Canyon and Castle of Illusions again...
I actually haven't replayed this in a while, maybe I should do so soon! It's been a while since I last played the original Wario Land, too. That one's got the most replay value, in my opinion. (I haven't played Virtual Boy Wario Land or Wario Land: The Shake Dimension, though.)
6:55 When I was a kid, I thought they goofed and had Wario's hands facing the wrong way. I never once thought that maybe he was raising them above his head.
I hated this game at first because I thought it was supposed to be a side scrolling game like the classic SMB. After a while i noticed it's a puzzle game.
In the Super Mario series, Wario Land 3 is probably most similar to Super Mario 64 in style. Not too many levels, but each level is partly non-linear, holding different objectives. You can sometimes go for another goal than you're supposed to get, but in other cases you have to wait. I guess it's similar to Super Mario Sunshine too.
I always interpreted it that it gave Wario the intuition to check a path that he didn't notice before. Or like it spoke with his mind and said "Hey, idiot! You missed a spot! There's treasure over there! Go get it!"
@@607 I hope so! I've never had this happen before either, it's a bit strange. Regardless, I appreciate you putting together all of these cutscenes for this wonderful game, I'll try to see if I can play it on yet another device soon! :D

It is. It actually felt important that the treasures were changing the world, levels and revealing secrets. Truly a very nice concept

I'm amazed the Castle of Illusions can be seen from the south.
I used this footage in a review! Thanks, man.
Nice! I'm glad when somebody can use this, as it took me a few hours :P

So... what was preventing Wario from going to the river before getting the second music box?
laziness
Apparently nothing...

*You make something else in this video, the Super Glove. That's a good video, lol.*
15:00 last music box
Ok, but you didn't have to comment five different times...
100 treasures must work
Nice! Now, what else do we need...?

Aw man, this video isn't loading for me! I can't watch it on any device either. Is it corrupted?
Huh, that's weird! I've never seen that happen before. Hopefully it'll fix itself?

@@Enivlens The playlist does still work, in case you're looking for any cutscene in particular. :)
Epic! :D
