      Thanks dude!! I’m so happy with it and already want to make a second version! It should be higher quality and cheaper too! ( compared to the $50 tent I destroyed😂)

      @@Al.Venture I have a lower mile Durango (137k) that's 2wd, I figured I might be able to trade mine for a higher mile 4x4 with the same quad cab design. I love the Durango but I'd like the bed for home projects.

    this tutorial is gold! I am going to apply the same method to my tonneau cover, with some small improvements like using a tent with no mosquito net, In case it rains but good job!

      Got this truck back in high school and I’ve loved it! Those are sweet, you could probably get a soft topper or one of those bed tents though! And thanks a lot man! Where in Canada are you? Do you take it camping and stuff too?

      @@Al.Venture live in Ontario about a hour from Detroit border. Just pick up the Dakota a year ago, had a 03 ram quad cab 4x4 5.7 before it, but started to fall apart. The Dakota is a 4.7 auto and loaded up with gear and a 14' x 5' landscape trailer with 2 quads on it, I was averaging 14mpg doing 125 kmh (70ish mph) on the highway. Haven't done any tent camping in a couple years.

      @@paulgoulet4599 70 with a trailer? Sounds like for an old gal she gets down! How many miles/km on the clock?? And maybe just upgrading to a hard shell topper would do the trick, I’ve heard of people insulating them very well!

      @@Al.Venture The ol' DakotaI has 198,000kms (123,000mph) on it. I bought it cheep cause I had to redo the head gaskets (but it still was able to drive it home from 1 hr away.) plus the heads were warped so I have a little extra compression now since i had to deck the heads. lol. Body's in great shape very little rust.

    Hey Brother. Just watched your wheel and tire install video, going backwards sorry. Wondering what lift set up you’ve got to accommodate the tires?

    • @Al.Venture
      @Al.Venture  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey thanks man! No worries haha you don’t need to watch them in order, I just appreciate the support🤘🏻
      I have the torsion lift with I think 3”ish cast iron blocks, I tried the aluminum ones but with just basic street driving I actually damaged them and hadn’t trust it since, I also tucked the wheel well liner to clear the bigger tires

    • @bengeddes7453
      @bengeddes7453 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Really all that’s available except body lift. Did you know you can do a hockey puck body lift without new hardware? And bumpers adjust enough to close gap pretty good so if the trimming is to extreme I might give that a go. Good luck on your new channel. Include mods and stuff along the way with the adventures and you’ll grow quick.

    • @Al.Venture
      @Al.Venture  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I’ve heard of people doing pick lifts but I didn’t know our bumpers had enough adjustment to close the gap, very cool! And thanks! Yeah I plan on uploading all my adventures and installs on here! I actually just uploaded a new episode of a separate series I have on my channel! Check it out and let me know what you think!

      @@Al.Venture I ment thr truck build... im not a big fan of bed campers for the tent for me personally I would leave the bed open for things I can put in the back. If I were to put a tent like shelter on my vehicle, I would get the one that goes on top of the cab
