1:36 Zelda is positioned the same way as Sheeta when she floats down from Studio Ghibli’s Castle in The Sky. All the sky islands felt like a breathing studio ghibli world to me, especially the intital thunder storm on dragon head (or isle) islands because that how Laputa was surrounded when you watch the movie. the nods to ghibli is astounding to me
Due to botw and totk drawing such heavy inspiration from those movies, isn't it any wonder why many would love if a zelda movie was done in the ghibli art style?
Yup. I think when the Light Dragon rushed to Link's aid against the Demon Dragon despite the fact that any trace of Zelda should be gone, Rauru and Sonia came to understand what draconification truly is. It doesn't destroy the individual's spirit, it merely puts it to sleep within their new body, like how their power remains dormant until they find something to truly love and fight for. Therefore, they can use their Light and Time powers to allow Link to reach her Light and Time spirit and have her feel the presence of the one she loves most and sacrificed everything for, finally waking her up.
Just finished the game. I thought it would be a sad ending: Demon King was defeated but Zelda can’t change back to her Hylian form so she went away to somewhere far away. Link’s replacement arm vanished after he completed his mission. Although he returned as a hero, he lived the rest of his life in solitude as a one arm swordsman.
Again, Nintendo made a masterpiece of an ending for a masterpiece of a game that is now my favorite of all time. The amount of emotion i felt when the black screen showed the title is absolutely unreal.

I wanted to see the hug SO BAD. But my guess is it might be because hugs and shows of affection are different in Japan than here? Still. This warranted at least a hug, platonic or otherwise
5:26 anyone else get affected by Zelda's line "Oh, Link, you really did it" ? To me it's so powerful because of how casual it is, as in it the intensity of the relief and joy Zelda is feeling breaks through her elegant way of speaking. Like she really can't believe it, her voice is breaking, she thought she was gone forever but they won against the unbelievable odds 🥹
I love how that last "Hold" command is emphasized with bold, red text. It's like a mix of the game cheering you on and begging for you to not screw this up. Like, _this is it._ ...So naturally the person who made the video slips that part up. XD
Saving Zelda from the fall is the cherry on top. Every great climax has that oh shit moment where even after the main threat is gone, the characters are still in danger from the situation which I always love to see.
Was anyone else expecting the castle to just collapse back into the hole after ganon died? I know there is technically a pillar holding it up, but i prefer to think that the gloom is pushing it upwards

Why Nintendo, why couldn't you even make them hug?? I'm not even asking any kiss out of you, just Zelda rushing to hug Link at the end of the cutscene. Do you know how happy that would already make me??
It seems that Nintendo was afraid that Link would show that he likes Zelda but we know they sleep in the same bed, they didn't want to suggest that somehow after that scene they were going home to f**k like there was no tomorrow which any normal couple would have done.
True masterpiece. Rather than visually bombard players with particle effects and shaking screens like the ps5, Nintendo delights the player with soft beautiful graphics and calm cutscenes. The player is given space to feel some emotion.

The devs decided to drop a MASTERCLASS on the ending of the game
I love this. This is the ending of 7 years of Botw and Totk. I love it.
i just want to have a version were there is game after you beat Ganon I think it would be cool to run around rebuilding hyrule
I kinda hope a dlc story involves us going around rebuilding Hyrule. It was cool to see the world rebuilt slightly in the background. But would be even cooler to see happen in Real time, idk. 🤷♂️
SAME I've been saying this since I finished BOTW years ago 😭
The way the music is perfectly timed it u do the sequence perfectly is amazing
I LOVED that feeling when I was skydiving to catch zelda!
She 😂❤was Goregous
Link and Zelda didn't HUG, and I'm so upset
Though I guess you could say grabbing her was the embrace 🫠👍
bet ya a dollar they did offscreen
I wanted to see the hug SO BAD. But my guess is it might be because hugs and shows of affection are different in Japan than here? Still. This warranted at least a hug, platonic or otherwise
@@Psyducks-headacheWell it does look like she kisses him at 6:31.
“…a warm loving embrace…”
Sonia and Rauru? Or maybe Link rescuing her while falling?
The moment she realizes that Ganondorf is really gone thanks to Link hits hard, she's so relieved
I love everything about this ending
So she didn’t wake when they hit the water or in the water but when he gently lays her on the ground in the sun
I took it as her just being really sleepy and it took a while for her to gain consciousness
If I lost consciousness for 100 thousand years I wouldn't wake up from that
That moment where you finally complete the quest is sooo good. I didn't think they could top the Defeat Ganon one from BotW but they did it.
That ending, diving through the sky to finally catch Zelda!!! Honestly, that is my favorite gaming moment EVER
Girls:Boys dont cry.
Boys when Zelda says ,,Thank You":
1:25 I love that slowed down version of Zelda’s theme
hearing zelda's lullaby makes me so nostalgic
When the music hits right when he wakes up at 2:28, I still get shivers and tear up
It should have said "open your eyes" 😭
5:26 anyone else get affected by Zelda's line "Oh, Link, you really did it" ?
To me it's so powerful because of how casual it is, as in it the intensity of the relief and joy Zelda is feeling breaks through her elegant way of speaking. Like she really can't believe it, her voice is breaking, she thought she was gone forever but they won against the unbelievable odds 🥹
Absolutely. That and the line where she says "I'm not in a dream right?", ugh, so powerful
I absolutely bawled my eyes out 😭😭😭
I loved the End , it was so good and brought me again to cry
The track at 14:12 absolutely SLAPS 💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾
SO TRUE
I do not care how vague Nintendo wants it to be. This Link and Zelda are in love, and nobody can tell me otherwise.
I love how that last "Hold" command is emphasized with bold, red text. It's like a mix of the game cheering you on and begging for you to not screw this up. Like, _this is it._
...So naturally the person who made the video slips that part up.
@@Camachox lol
*and then they both died from hitting the lake at terminal velocity*
Lmao I was just thinking that they better be glad this is a video game otherwise they’d both be pulverized hitting the water from that high up.
True masterpiece.
Rather than visually bombard players with particle effects and shaking screens like the ps5, Nintendo delights the player with soft beautiful graphics and calm cutscenes. The player is given space to feel some emotion.
Zelda's voice acting wgen she first wakes up is heartbreaking, her voice acting is so good
Now we all know they love each other…..BUT COULD YOU TWO KISS ALREADY?!
exaaaactly!
I think the final scene before the credits was just a way for the developers to show how much they've improved Zelda's smile from BOTW.
what an ending to a spectacular game
I'd say 50% of people have missed the first grab
Proud to say I was on point and got to her first try. I was so locked in lmao. Can't blame anyone who didn't though, such a beautiful scene.
Happy to say I got it first try. Didn't even know you could miss it until now.😂
I wanted to see them splat
@@joelsytairo6338 hello brother in chaos-
I did. But I think it works thematically, where Link fumbles for a bit, but determined to make sure he doesn't fail again... not like back then...
This was an absolute joy to experience it was worth the wait and I will remember this game for a very long time
Hats off to everyone who helped pull off such a game
the music is what sold these final few moments to me. such great orchestral work. a masterpiece, in my eyes.
I came to this vid cause I accidentally skipped the end cut scene missing everything because for some reason I wanted to pause the game and go into the menu lol 😂
The Zelda theme had me bawling
I loved the soundtrack to this.
The parallels between this and the beginning is literally peak story telling
4:25 The Princess Mononoke similarities once again. 🤩
I really hope there's a triquel (like a sequel but three? Idk.) To this game.
Botw and Totk were both MASTERPIECES (I'm not even that far into totk, but ik what I'm doing bc I watched gameplay before getting it.)
If there isn't a third game in this timeline, I swear I'm going to die
Trilogy is the word you're looking for
You’d need a new map for that, and at that idk if it could be considered a triquel of totk
How would they even go about a third game tho? Totk seemed to have tied up all the loose ends, at best we might get dlc that goes a little more in depth but that's about it
it's already a trilogy... Age of Calamity being the second
@@lalalalalalalablablablablabla AoC doesn't count, it's not canon to the story of BOTW and TOTK and it's a completely different genre of game by a completely different developer
i don't understand why they healed his arm when rauru's gave him so many benefits. i don't think he wanted his boring one back lol it's like he stole back a present he gave him
Personally i think the power in the arm, paired with the remaining power of Rauru and Sonia, was what it took to restore Zelda and as a result the arm “died” finally and returned to Rauru
i wish he kept it or like had to get a cool prosthetic made by robbie
@@THuecoT yeah I'd still rather have the arm
Noo I was so sad when Link lost his arm 😭😂 that's his sword wielding arm, it's the most important arm Link has in every Zelda game 😂
I wish i could experience this the 1st time again. I cried!!!!!
i sobbed so hard when i finished the game the other day. i took my time…it was so worth it
And at the end, she said she woke up to a "warm, loving embrace"
2:28 I love it when the music kicks in when link is falling to catch Zelda
Anyone else notice that the the sound the master sword makes is the same sound from skyward sword when Fi comes out to tell you something you already knew😂
Hands down greatest ending to a Zelda Game ive seen in my life
Great ending but I was disappointed that there wasn’t an actual postgame
I just finished ToTK, just leaving a comment, dont watch this video, this is something you have to experience by yourself
Best game ive ever played
1:25 i wonder if they knew what this song was going to become when they made it all those years ago.
song name please, im in love
@@IsmaelMartinez_TVZelda’s lullaby from multiple games, just slowed down a lot here
Everyone: *Talking about how wholesome the scene is*
Me: Ey! Link got his arm back!
the fact that people STILL are trying to justify anything else winning GOTY is laughable. i always direct them to that final boss fight and this scene.
Baldur's Gate must've been one goddamn hell of a game.
2:40
"Moon Gorgeous Meditation" starts playing.
See Zelda wasn't rewinded back from her dragon from to human form, she remembers her time as a dragon, even though she compares it to sleeping. That thing pulled of by Rauru and Sonia happened because the goddesses employed their spirit to perform a miracle.
The only thing missing was a kiss or at least a hug. Curse you Nintendo for teasing us about Zelink in this universe.
This was one of my favourite game endings of all time
This game got robbed of GOTY.
Honesty this is the best ending in the zelda franchise. It have it all
the music is so goood
God, what a perfect game. Ive played every major zelda game from the first, and this one is the best. Nintendo keeps getting better with age.
The endings beautiful! Oh I wish Teba could have been in this final scene. He would have loved this moment he’d be so proud of his son.
The piano in the first bit was a nice calm vibe to the ending not to mention the music is the best part of the game😂
