If you have a hobby lobby by you they have Edible Dust Push Pump Bottles work just as good and don't have the flip up nozzle (which always broke on me) and they come with a lid. You can also get them on amazon.
@@julieruby So are you! Omg that’d be awesome. Now we have to wait till you come to Cali? I guess? Haha and btw we could both post it on our TH-cam channel!
I reeeeeally need to do this, but my biggest concern is that, I like to carry the shade I'm wearing that day with me in my bag so I can reapply as needed while I'm out.
@@julieruby I have watching so many videos on lip palettes (premade) and made my muas and this was definately the cleanest :) Great tip on the mac recycling. I did not know that!
Thank you so much! I had a really hard time getting mine clean as well. I just soaked mine in soapy water for a bit then literally spent hours going on with a q tip on the inside 😂
Hi Julie! with the lip color container you use, how often do u find yourself mixing it with the inglot? Do you feel like the container does a good job not drying the product? Can you share input regarding mixing media(like your inglot)? I'm afraid that it might mess with the formula and quality of the products, specially long wear products.
Hi Griselda! I actually don't use these containers anymore just because of the fact that they were kind of bulky when you had multiples of them. However, when I was using them, I never had any lip products dry out on me! The Inglot Duraline doesn't really mix well with lip products that well in my opinion. I mostly just use it for eyeliners or brow gels.
Can a right size medicine container work or depoted pallets that have alot of leftover spaces that are sanitized (tins removed n left with the empty case with spaces to put it)
same concern too, with the powder spray bottle, how will the client knows if you are using a very good brand? How do you explain or show it to them? Thank you in advance, Ms. Julie!
To be totally honest, nobody has really had any concern about the brands I use for the products I've depotted! However, I do label all of the containers with my label maker with the brand and color I'm using just in case someone asks :)
@@julieruby oohhh... Thanks! I usually encounter clients before so even I want to depot/decan my stuff, I cant. Thank you again, Ms. Julie. You're such a sweetheart. ❤❤❤
@@maria58729 why can't you? Do they not believe you when you tell them what product it is if they ask, and why does that matter? What difference does it make what packaging it's in if their makeup comes out well?
Hey Julie! I started my freelance business a few months ago, and I need some lipstick formulas and color suggestions from the drugstore. I've been using a six-color Smashbox palette, which I love, but I would like to fill the Tahiti Vueset palette with a wider color range. Thanks for making your videos from a paid artist's perspective. :)
Hi Jane! I'm so glad to hear that you've begun your freelance journey! I don't know if I can give you color suggestions necessarily, but I do know of a few great drugstore brands for lipsticks. When I first started out, I used the NYX matte lipsticks as well as their butter glosses. Makeup Revolution, Wet N Wild, and Pixi also make really great formulas as well! I would just make sure to get a good range of lipsticks. Keep in mind you don't need every single shade. It's important as an artist to know color theory and how to mix shades together. I would maybe start off with maybe 8-10 lipstick shades and figure out how you can mix them to get different colors. It saves space and your back! Same with foundations as well!
I looked up vueset containers and found an Australian website that sells them. I’m not sure how reliable the site is but they sell all the vuesets containers. Here is the link if you want to check it out: www.makeupandglow.com.au/Vueset-Empty-Palettes/
Those powder containers look awesome! I bet they would be good for travel too.
Heather Girtz YES!! They have honestly been super handy to have! They avoid powdery messes and are very good for travel :)

If you squeeze the bottle before adding the product and then let go, the bottle returning to full size pulls the product in past the narrow neck.
Thanks so much for the tip!!
Hi there. If you take a sheet of paper, pour your powder on it and then fold it in half, you can drop in right down the bottle without any issues.
Ooo that's a great idea! Thanks so much for sharing :)

😂😂too funny I love that lol
You need to get a tiny funnel to help you put product in small tubes.
Oh I definitely do now girl! This video was made 2 years ago and I’ve learned since then 😂
You wasted a lot of Mac lipstick on metal palette you could simply put it straight in the container and press it down. just saying. X
Thanks for the tip! This video is a few years old now so I’ve changed my method since :)
