    Out of 8 classical dances of india odissi undoubtedly proved its highest Grace. Namratha 's dance felt like a frangrant gem on this Golden odissi. Thank you Guruji Daksha Mashruwala for amazing choreography. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

    Most of people like bharatnatyam..... Because it is related to Lord Shiva's tandav.... Means his angerness.... And destruction.... But on the the other hand Odissi is more related to Lord krishna.... Or jagannath..... His calmness.. And love to the human kind.... I am proud to be an odia....

    To capture the rains, the monsoon rivers, setting spring suns, peacocks in flower fields underneath mango trees within a dance? Truly classical, Odissi is an art form like no other.

    Odissi dance form and music is the most ancient and graceful among all Indian classical dance and music but very underrated. It's not being promoted well by Indian mainstream media unlike Bharata Natyam , Kathaka, Carnatak music etc.

      Then you don't have enough knowledge about all Indian classical dances ..... Let me tell me you I am Christian not Hindu but I guess I have better knowledge than you about Indian classical dances.... BharatNatyam is different because it shows aggression nature of Shiva which is inspired by tandava how can you insult that by saying that odisi is more good than BharatNatyam , and if you had good knowledge you should have noticed that sattriya is also gracefull , even kuchipudi is and not to forget Mohiniattam which literally means mesmerizing dance it's obvious that it is delicate beautiful and grace full ....conclusion is you're just obsessed with odisi because you're from odisha that obsession made you blindfolded and hence you're unable to see the fact

I said Odissi dance form is ancient and graceful which is right, where did I comment that its only good and others are bad? Did I mention anything where I said only Odissi is good and others are bad. All dance form of India is beautiful in their own form but according to many scholars Odissi looks graceful and its ancient which is still existed from 400 BC.

      You don't have to be odia to love Odissi dance or music and there are 8 classical dances, not 6.

    I just found it. Beautiful verses from Ritusamhaara by Kalidasa.
    The Medley of Seasons.
    sadā manojñam svanadutsavotsukaṁ
    vikīrṇavistīrṇakalāpaśobhitam |
    sasambhramāliṅganacumbanākulaṁ
    pravṛttanṛtyam kulam adya barhiṇām ||
    Translated:
    "This cloudy and showery environ is evermore heart-pleasing to peacocks, hence they are screaming with hilarity and fidgety, and the whole stock of peacocks is brilliant when its fanlike expansive plumage is outstretched, and on impulsively petting and pecking peahens, now they have commenced their peacock-dance...
    It would be great if the poets and original lyricists are also mentioned in videos too 🙏😍

    Odissi clearly influenced South East Asian dance

      āryā tārā Thai and Khmer dances remind me of Odissi dance, because sanskrit, hinduism and buddhism came to south east asia from india along with the culture of elaborate dances and architecture.

      Well, the similarities aren't really surprising. Odisha had long and extensive contacts with Southeast Asia and there's been a lot of cultural exchange.

    Absolutely fantastic!! I understand that Indian classic music and dance always has some meaning and art form in it. May I request the organisers that for the viewers like us please put some explanation like the dance, what is being sung, etc in the notes. Thanks.
