Good
I was literally coaching this two hours ago and failing miserably.
This is timed perfectly for me. Thanks!
Glad it helped!
Wow,.talk about timing! I did 20 minutes of EMOTM swings today and my back is hurting. I was just thinking of my hinge and maybe sending a video to a friend for advice. But, I believe you may have cured my ills, thank you!
Glad it helped! Swings shouldn't hurt.
I tweaked my lower back yesterday while transitioning from a kettlebell swing to a goblet squat. I'm not exactly sure how I did it, but I have a sneaking suspicion that my hamstrings have been the weak link in my swing for the 15 years I've been doing them. Even though it looks like I'm hinging correctly, and even though I'm squeezing my glutes at the top of the swing, I think I've been sort of relaxing a bit and folding on the way back down. Instead of my hamstrings being loaded for the next repetition, I think I've been relying on momentum on the way back up while popping my hips forward and re-engaging my glutes. I mostly think this is the weak link in my swing because I never feel the exercise in my hamstrings like everyone says I should. As soon as my back feels better, I'm going to put my swings on hold and work on the magic drill. Thank you for posting this.
Absolutely. If you’d like, send a video and I’ll see if I can help you.

I would love to send you a video of my swing! Unfortunately, I'll need to wait until my back feels better. I hope you don't mind. @@DanJohnStrengthCoach
