Awesome vid. I made a similar trip in Jul 2020. I made three other Big Sur trips after that one: Silver Peak Wilderness, Boranda Trail, and Arrroyo Seco to Marble Peak. Long sleeves everywhere, tucked pants, and Permethrin treated clothing are a must in Big Sur against ticks.
I was able to do this hike around the same time in July of last year, however ive heard that the area has since been closed due to the fires last year. very sad if this is true
Love your hat!😊 Looks so natural on you. I cannot wear hat like this as my backpack always interferes with the rear rim😢

Yeah those ticks are no joke.
Thanks for this wonderful, informative video friend! Using it to do some research on the same trail in a few weeks. Glad to have this as a guide!
Glad it was helpful. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for this video, this seems very unappreciated! Great quality for only a few thousand views.
Thank you! I appreciate the support.

Thanks! You’ll have a lot of fun

I hiked to Vincente flat a month ago, so that’s open and I didn’t see burns above it.
Take a lighter put it next to the tic and they will release on their own plus you won't have to worry about the head getting stuck inside.
Nice ! I am planning to do it in a couple of weeks. do you need reservations for goat camp and Vicente Flat Campgrounds ? ticks are nasty.....
Awesome video! QQ: what's the proper food storage technique on this trail? I know bear canisters are needed but did you guys hang your food bags?
Thanks for watching! Yes we hung our food each night. There are plenty of trees around for doing so.
Did you need any permits or reservations to do this backpacking trip
I don’t believe so.
@@JoeBarnett thanks for the response! No permits needed.
When was this?
