I've loved watching this tournament. I do not like this new player perspective camera. Just when the action gets most intense the screen gets smaller. The star in the background and the WCS logo take of screen real estate but add nothing to what is going on in the game. Showing what one player sees is a good idea but this particular execution isn't great. If anything I'd love to see a shot of the player's hand moving and maybe a shot of their faces in opposite corners of the map.
This needs to be voted up for more visibility! It really took me out of the game when the screen suddenly becomes smaller and all the colors of the units & structures change just when the action becomes intense. Please come up with a better implementation of this or just dump this idea. thanks Also agree with LeblueLegume's last sentence. That would be much better than suddenly switching to the player's PoV
I would like to see more of it, especially when things get dicey. But I agree, screen should be the same size as regular broadcast and also I would like to see a keyboard action.
I don’t know why the first person camera has to shrink down the game screen when you could very easily just put it over the UI section in the bottom right I don’t know for sure but I don’t think that’s overwhelmingly important to see
does anyone think it looks really dumb when they action zoom on to their faces and they are just sitting there.. it works in stuff like the ufc because they are all pumped up.. this looks so forced and odd
Possible Spoilers below. What a call by TY to pump out liberators for anti air late in game 4. People sometimes forget that when you have around 7to8+ liberators out against a Zerg that’s massed & clumped up corrupters the lib’s air splash damage just destroys them so quickly. It was beautiful. What a great game 4 & 5.
Looking at that final engagement, I do wonder if TY might have managed if he didn't keep his squadron of marines attacking the hatch, and actually had them fight and flank in the major engagement from the start. My guess is probably not win the engagement - but definitely more damage to the army, and still the best shot he had given he was all-in. So I am still a bit questioning why he didn't anyway. As all in as you are, the all-in is way more important than the hatch.
Goddamn that was a heck of a series! I hate to see anyone lose such an epic, hard-fought fight like that. But as they say, there can be only one... winner. GG to the loser, and hope to see you back next year!
i have always wondered the same thing, they can def glance up and see the audience. also i have worn noise canceling headphones and they just dull the noise they dont magically stop it all. iv always felt like they should be in isolated rooms with one way mirrors

I think that's a dubious assumption. Half of the value in using such proxy builds is to force the zerg into a certain level of caution. If he chose to play standard every game, Rogue would choose to play greedy every game, and thereby tend to have an advantage. Those proxies could have easily paid off, but luck is a fickle lady. I agree that TY looked like he had superior play--at least in terms of micro--but we never really got to see his standard game vs Rogue's standard game due to the proxies and greed builds. It might favor TY slightly because his late-late game looked stronger than Rogue's, but we only have a sample size of 1, so you can't really call it.
In my opinion, TY should move forward. If he didn’t make a silly mistake and took the matches seriously at the beginning of game 2&3, Rogue would be a loser. See the way he finished Rogue at game 1&3
every time they "straightened" map view i had myself trying to tilt my head to the "normal" view... that and the First person view... i get it, but, don't zoom out
Why do these games just end after one battle? Shouldn’t it carry on until everything is destroyed? Idk much about the game but I feel like the logical thing is to keep it carrying on
it's the players surrendering in the game because they know it will be hard to catch up. they have to play a lot of games so they don't want to waste too much time.
@@calebrobinson6406 I've had dreams about killing 100+ supply of overlords with libs, since zerg often has a big bunch of em, but it never seemed practical to get enough libs to do it. I think the anti-armor missile might make it work
@@AdaDenali overlords dont have supply :D Why they are good with Anti Armor Missle is cause they have 2 attacks and each of those attacks gets 3 extra damage with the missle... so 2x5 turns into 2x8 and if you have upgrades it can be 2x11 which is HUGE 22dmg and if you have 5 thats 110 per hit splash

I really wish they got rid of the obnoxiously loud hype casters and brought in casters that actually know what they're talking about. Game 1 Rogue pretty much knew it was going to be 3 CC when at the 4 minute mark nothing's come over to be a nuisance to his creep spread.

I think Terran players deserve some extra cred. Its the most difficult race to play but the most fun to watch.
Terran isn't the hardest. More micro intensive than zerg, but zerg's macro is more difficult, especially larva management.

Player use earphone to hear the game sound , headphone for white noise and isolate sound from the outside

it's the players surrendering in the game because they know it will be hard to catch up. they have to play a lot of games so they don't want to waste too much time.
