That hicks was going to have a different paint deco, and he would have come with that knife. They end up changing it to save on money. He was going to have a blue hat and would have a green and black paint job. I made a custom of him by repainting that hicks. Also, his dog robot can be used as a gun. It doesn't show that on the packaging

The shotgun that came with one of the T2 figures would work pretty good! I did think about it and I was trying to stay in the theme of the line itself…kind of over the top, techy big weapons…actually come to think of it a big futuristic looking shotgun would be cool. May have to track one down. I did a video where I did a head swamp on the Hicks from the original line and decked him out with a shotgun. I had a good conversation with a viewer that just didn’t like the sculpt of the Predators they released for this line and I have to say I kind of felt the same way until I actually owned them…and I get it they are proportionally different…but the longer I have had them the more i appreciate them trying something different…these unreleased ones however are something I would have been into right from that start. You say that the Integer3 reminds you of Fireteam Elite, but the androids in that game are actually named Integer-series! So I'm pretty sure the devs loved this figure as well, and named the androids after it.

This reminds me of when Kenner canceled the Jurassic Park: Chaos Effect toyline. They released some of the toys and then shut down all the plans they had, such a a cartoon series set after The Lost World. Luckily people have been making custom toys and even selling their own 3d printed sculpts.

It's odd that they did a Hicks figure two years after he died in an EVAC Vessel crash (or not if you consider Colonial Marines and Stasis Interrupted canon) and basically created what he would've looked like if the crash didn't happen.
Right! Even though I do like Alien 3…killing off Hicks was a mistake. I prefer the Alternate timeline that include “Wilks” time line from the Comics… but yeah odd they just do roll with Herk Mondo or another character. But Hicks is what they decided on…probably because of the name recognition. Thanks for the insight and for checking out my video!
5:10 I'd suggest looking up a Dark Horse comics ALIENS comic book character that goes by the name "Herk Mondo". In fact look up online images of him or even read the 2 comics centered around him titled ALIENS: MONDO HEAT and ALIENS: MONDO PEST, and you'll see that this "Hicks" is not Hicks but actually Herk Mondo, only with an eye patch.
It’s crazy because I have read the comics with Herk Mondo years ago and it never clicked that this figure looks more like him than Hicks until someone brought to it to my attention in the comments. You’re absolutely right. I think maybe that’s what they were intending or attempting but at the last minute decided to roll with Hicks. To my knowledge this line was kind of plagued with issues, set backs and problems. I think they initially wanted to release it sooner than 98 but it just didn’t happen. Indeed, based on the two titles based on Herk Mondo, it would be quite logical that they tried to make Herk into an action figure, since the tone of these 2 comics are definitely more comical and childish. Perhaps they couldn't secure the license of the character and HAD to the settle into making him "Hicks". I was in day 1 collecting the Kenner ALIENS line in the 90s, so at its dusk, I was able to get most of these figures as well and right away when I saw him I was shocked that it was Herk Mondo, till I read that they named him Hicks LOL. I have a total of 75 figures of the Kenner ALIENS line and I too customized some of the creatures. I was intending to customize the humans to make some appear more movie accurate, and that is still on my table of things to do. I have been pleased with what I had done with the ones I worked on and indeed watching your vids you opened my mind to many ideas. So as long as you have Xenomorphs in your vids, I am indeed there and guess what? I have just subscribed 😁
@@2DayRentals By the way, did you ever make the connection with the Kenner Line and the Konami ALIENS arcade game? I mean, many of the Kenner figures seem based on the Arcade creatures, like the "Egg Aliens" from Kenner and the Egg Implanter (?) Alien boss in the arcade. In fact even the color of both media are very similar. So considering the story line on the Kenner Line is sort of an Alternate Universe, I am making that the Konami arcade ALIENS game to be its prequel. This allows for the changes in the characters that perished in the movie but are in the toy line to have their backgrounds connected to the game and live.

Thanks so much for watching. So it’s actually two different pieces. One is an actual piece of Aliens merch. It’s play set by Tree House Kids. It came with some Army Men scaled Marines and Xenos. The other is a generic military play set I found at Wal Mart. It works pretty well with the aesthetic of the movie. Though I often thought about painting it and giving it some more detail.
I had a discussion about this with someone the other day and I kind of feel like maybe that was the original intention but a license agreement feel through… don’t really know but it definitely could serve as a Herk Mondo figure. Thanks for checking out the video.
Boiling water to soften it then carefully pull apart what you want to remove. After a couple of minutes in boiling water most action figures will piece apart fairly easily. Once the cool down the plastic hardens again so depending on what kind of application you are doing you may have to alter the pegs or insert holes a little to make them fit.

That Predator armor marine looks eerily similar in the mask and some of the aesthetics to the armour from The Predator. It’s a shame that it was such a poor film, because taking cues from the figures is a great thing to see on screen. The troop transport in the Mandalorian is one that comes to mind.

Love hthis line, shame they canceled it. Not sure if it was released at the same time, but there is a 12' Hicks and Xeno that came out around then. might have been by hasbro a couple of years later though can't remember. As far as female preds go, weirdly, I always thought Spiked Tail pred might have been female. It's a lot more slender than the others and... I dunno, just something about the way it's build/holds itself, it just seemed to fit in my mind.I think also because for me I never had it as a kid, took a while to track down a new copy on Ebay, felt like it being female somehow fit how illusiverare and weird it was compared to the rest of the line. I mean not as weird as the clan leader, but that's a whole other story :)

Indeed! I have a couple of those. I know I have the one with the Kenner Dark Horse Comics and another one. I used to carry them to work with me to read on my lunch break. There is a lot of content to cover but has served me well to get caught up on some of the series I have missed over the years.

Indeed! I have a couple of those. I know I have the one with the Kenner Dark Horse Comics and another one. I used to carry them to work with me to read on my lunch break. There is a lot of content to cover but has served me well to get caught up on some of the series I have missed over the years.

I was out on it for a long time too until I got one and it grew on me. But yeah I feel ya man.
