I love when Tegan just starts playing around with things when she bored, it's so funny! It was hilarious when they started talking about how their hair was like 9-12 years ago :) I Love Tegan and Sara!
When it cuts to the recorded version of the song, it sounds like a different mix than whats on the actual album. Like this one has more reverb and the synth's are louder. It just sounds a little more "produced." I really like it.

I loved when they were more involved in their productions instrumentally. Half the songs on Heartthrob don't even involve their guitar work in the studio.
they released a double disc version of "the con" album, that included a dvd of the making of every track on the album, and some pretty hilarious extras. thats how i got mine. not sure if they are still selling the album with the dvd attached though.
Don't worry. You know most artists return to their roots eventually. They call it the mid-life crisis album. I fully expect them to make an indie record again once they become disillusioned by the horseshit of the mainstream. Or who knows they may just kick start a brand new mainstream of awesomeness.
