You say the slime didn't "prune" his hand, but I personally didn't see the water hand "pruned" either. Besides,4 minutes isn't enough time to "prune" anybody's hand.

A pool, or a bath, for example, because anything you touch in the water will be wet, and so if your hands are wrinkled, you can grip these items easier. The slime, however, is not liquid, and so your body does not need to 'prune', or wrinkle up, since you don't need this better grip in slime. Correction to the instant snow thing. They use cotton for the set. Scenes will use instant snow if it needs to look like snow or if they are playing with it.
Fun fact. If you cover the pot with a lid (yes exacly like kettle does) it will boil water faster than the kettle. Btw only thing actually boiled was the blender :D
Number 2 kinda is possible, Automatic transmissions have a propeller system in between the actual engine and the transmission filled with oil, and it does get hot. They should have gone a bit longer to boil it thoroughly.

Its called dense water you replace the h in H2O with another O making it O2O by removing that hydrogen and replacing it with another oxygen this in turn makes the water more dense and if you freeze it it will not float
