but seriously, this broadway performance is amazing. it makes me cry, it got me. thanks Michael Mayer for the idea of bringing American Idiot to life and thanks to everyone who worked on this. bless you guys.
I do not know what's the lesson learn of this story, but I think the lesson will be to not let drugs ruin your life. You'll be a mess, you'll be fucked up, and you will be angry and different. St. Jimmy met Jesus of Suburbia, and told him to take drugs. Of course, he wasn't sure if it will help him. It did not. So it was a regret, but Whatsername is a song that will make me cry. "The regrets are useless in my mind." One of my favorite lines of the song. Thank you, Green Day for this music.
I'm playing Johnny in a local production soon and I have no idea how the hell I'm gonna get through this song. It hits so close to home for me that I'm not even gonna be acting when I have that spoken monologue
love how they incorporated all the iconic dance moves from the whole show into this song, as if to recap everything that happen (J.o.S./ Give Me Novacaine. - 2:25, Too Much Too Soon / Are We the Waiting - 2:35, Letterbomb - 2:50, and a few others that I can't figure out) lol

Awakening
anybody else trying to spot Alysha Umphress?
Berkeley patrons are a million times better behaved than New York theatre goers. They don't ruin TH-cam videos with self-indulgent hoots and hollars!
