I saw her in She Loves Me on Broadway a few years ago and she WAS the show, even though her part was relatively small. Love her and her talent!

She was out the night I went, and I wanted to love her understudy but she was so wrong for the part. I was heartbroken.

She needs to be back on Broadway.
    She’d be a terrific Mame.

I remember watching this episode of Ally McBeal years and years ago and it being engraved in my memory instantly. I still go back to this video every once in a while to watch this beautiful woman perform to this song.

Why we never had a proper film version of a Chorus Line with Jane as Cassie is beyond me

I do love her but just look at this clip. She just doesn't have the technique to carry off this number. @@DamnGleeks

@@miamiracer I would recommend you to check her performance as Lola on Damn Yankees. I haven't watched this episode but I would guess she didn't do the proper choreo because is registered to it's choreographer and can't be use anywhere else (Same reason why the choreos on the movie were changed)

This was truly one of the best scenes of the entire show. I just loved how those around her respected her talent. Elaine had grown so much and truly deserved the applause. Jane ... always deserved it. I remember her from Search for Tomorrow and a movie she did with Liza Minelli called Stepping Out. I'd love to see her get even recognition for her talent.

Funny. I saw her do Guys and Dolls in the west end with Ewan Mcgreggor and it’s only because I remember her from Ally McBeal that I bought the ticket, realising she could sing. She was the best thing in the show. Phenomenal!

I went to see that just because she was in it! Do you remember when she danced naked except for the fans?! (Well, she gave the illusion of being naked)

I was lucky enough to have gone to school with a girl who got us opening night tickets for the Chorus Line move to Broadway. She was in the show. I got to see the most famous gypsy on Broadway, possibly ever, play"Cassie," her life story. For demonstrating eight times a week why she was considered the best gypsy in Broadway history, she received the Tony Award. I was lucky enough to have my first Broadway musical be Promises, Promises. Once I saw a program on Public TV about the 10 most difficult dances in Broadway history. Yeah, Oklahoma was there, how could it not be? As the countdown went on, it became more and more tense who would be at the top. Well, it was "Turkey Turkey Time" from Promises, Promises. OMG. I had seen that middle girl in the red outfit command the spotlight as the key dancer in the show. This same girl had a solo in the musical Company. Tik Tok was a warm up for Music & the Mirror (I liked it more because the music was better). That show changed the rules of what a Broadway show could be. So, after the last curtain call of opening night, we all walked back to my school mate's apartment, a few blocks from the Shubert Theatre. There were a bunch of telegrams and myrth. And our own Broadway Star, mentioned something that never would have entered my mind: "We are all so bored with this show," we being the Chorus Line dancers. "The choreography is so easy, it's not a challenge." I never expected that. My friend, of course, was playing herself, eight times a week. How boring is that? All three of the shows I mention were choreographed by Michael Bennett, who already had some Tony's. For Chorus Line, he got a Tony for choreography, and the show got Pulitzer Prize. It revived a dead Broadway, and ran long enough nights to become the longest running Broadway show in history. (There were later some corrections). My favorite part of this story is that Michael Bennett, who made millions of dollars off of Chorus Line alone, donated 1% of his paycheck to the entire original cast. 1% for them, 99% for him. It was their lives in that script. Oh, well. Forever and ever, my girlfriend got a royalty check every week for every production of A Chorus Line in the world. Lotsa High Schools in the world. 1% adds up. Jane is okay, but she ain't no Cassie. Wanna hear my story about working with Calista Flockhart, and sitting in the lobby talking to Juliana Marguiles (her BF wss in that play) the girl from ER who had just that day hit the news for turning down a contract for $28 million dollars to renew for ER. It goes on....I have been a fly on many walls.

It was one of the very last episodes. Season 5, Episode 20 "What I'll Never Do for Love Again." I believe it was one of the episodes Calista did not make an appearance in.
