- We have many map mods in Euro Truck Simulator 2, but only a few are very stable. ProMods is one of the most downloaded ets2 map mods. It has a very supportive community, a dependable support system behind it, and receives regular updates with every ets2 game version released. Today, it’s my pleasure to show you how to download and install ProMods.

Why is Iceland removed from promods
my game crashes everytime after i have selected my start location

I have 1.49.2.23 version, and promods 1.49 incompatible
My game crashes. I added all the promods add ons, should i check on the def map if i m using other map versions.
Check your load order first, and then the def file should be the one you've generated from the ProMods website.
when i extract the archive to promodsv268 it says cant open the file as a [7z] archive

need help i followed all the steps but i cant get them to show up in mod manager

I installed the mods but when i enter the game i dont see the maps
There may be a number of issues causing this, but I would love you to start b checking your Load order. Make sure everything is well organized, then try to open the game. The load order is at 6:19.
If this fails, start small by installing ProMods only, without the add-ons, and make sure you arrange the files as shown at 5:17. When you confirm ProMods alone is stable, then you can the add-ons.
it work if i have just 2 dlc or i need all of them to work?
In the current version, 2.68 , you need all map expansions except West Balkans.
I only have 7 promod things in my mod manager. But you have eight and I have done everything right. Can I have help?

I have v1.49 and my mod manger says "Unsupported Version" ? (with promods 268 ver)
May be your are missing a dlc. Do you have all of them ? ( except west Balkans)
I have all of them@@ItsKaday including west Balkans.
In the mod manager there's an (i) close the file, click it and it should tell you why the error. I have a question, does it say unsupported or incompatible?
@@ItsKadayhi sorry for jumping on this post I’ve downloaded all dlc but now getting an incomparable error with model pack 2 stating it requires all 8 promod packages does this include the cabin accessories aswell? Thanks
mine doesn't work I tried everything I saw different tutorials but nothing works the notepad doesn't read and doesn't appear in the game

Do you have a background map?
No, I unpacked the files and now in the mod-manager there is only the name of the file with no background picture and it’s just the default map

The background map works but no promods, I think there is a problem with the unpacked file cause when it wasn’t unpacked it was just unaligned but now it doesn’t work at all
I fixed it. I just moved the files out of the one unpacked file into the mod folder and it worked. But thanks for the help

What if i don't have a mods map in ets files?
If you are missing the 'mod' folder in your ETS2 Documents, create a new folder, name it 'mod', place the mod files in there, and you should see them in your in game mod manager.

I have seen files containing radio stations online, most of them comprise stations from Poland and Germany. Have you ever tried radio trucker? This one here radiotrucker.com/
i cant find defenition packge and dlc support
You will need to generate your def file. Check 2:12 on how to do that. Then for your DLC support, it will be available in your files after you unpack them.
which one is the "definition file" ?
The first step of downloading the map mod, the file you generate is your def file.
I need help with that i download it from the free one and i didnt get the promods-v268.7z i got that with 001 at the end as well so i cant extract the zip file
You got the correct file and yes, you can extract it. It doesn't have to be a .7z for you to use 7zip. It will work with any compressed file.

Check if they're pasted correctly in the mod folder,plus ensure its the .scs files not the archives.

Yes. The dlcs need to be purchased and installed for the mod to work.

In the mod manager of the profile you have ProMods installed, go ahead and deactivate the files.
Is says on 7zip it cant unpack the file
I haven't experienced this error, in the mean time , can you try WinRAR?. I will try to see if there's a solution somewhere.

I figured it out, you have to download all of the 9 files then unpack the 001 archive
How to install dlc
Map DLCs? You need to purchase the dlcs on steam, then they will automatically download and install. When you launch your game to play, the new area which is covered by the dlc should be visible and you can truck there.
the dlc requirement is ridiculous

@ItsKaday got it to 1.49. Solved the issue, you have to remove the folder pro mods and have them as individual mods. Thanks 😊
