Yes, it's actually pronounced "Bye-huh" not "Bye-hey", you don't need to tell me. Also I tried something new with angling my webcam for the vtuber to be at an angle, which looks cool but it seems to get harder for the software to catch both my eyes so one of my eyes is being lazy every now and then through this video.

Even though "Bye-huh" is technically correct, "Bye-hey" is acceptable to me, just like I, for the longest time, preferred saying "Tian-hwo" instead of the more correct "Tian-hwa".
On the flipside, Maximum Entertainment announced they are working on a Avatar the Last airbender fighting game.
Going to guess they are putting a lot of love into that one as well.

This is heartbreaking. I feel as though I can only hope the ip somehow gets back in the hands of the people who worked on it and made it the cool game it is today. Or at the very least, I hope that publisher gets better management. The game is so cool and I was never very good at fighting games but I remember really enjoying the learning process in the single player campaign.
Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.

Also for the record anyone who claims mike z is redeemed because of a video essay a sus content creator put out, HOW?! WHAT EVIDENCE!? And besides, i have zero reason to believe he's even a good developer. Skullgirls had bugs in the netcode that existed till the mobile port found a fix for it, indivisible had a really long development cycle only to be released in a massively buggy state (with a bunch of content that had gotten scrapped due to his whole holding the company hostage after the controversy thing)

This game got me into the fgc. I even tried out starting the european community despite my terrible english and setup. got me behind a mic and a webcam, the community actually started and is still alive. I owe it a lot. I'll pour one out to us
Cont. Cuz i have emotions to digest... I met my oshi through this game and all the wonderful people in her community. I got insanely more confident in my masculinity playing the brony game despite me never caring about mlp and enjoying every aspect of it with unashamed boldness. I understand how much shit Modus or whatever is called now is. But the update could've come bundled with a cryptominer and I still wouldnt be able to feel any animosity towards it. Anyone who touches this game is sacred to me. Thanks everyone
My heart bleeds for this one. I've made so many friends because of this game and nobody deserves this kinda crap happening to their game.
You'd think Aaron would have tried to negotiate something knowing DAMN well what happened with Skullgirls in their initial IP Rights struggles with Konami, but... ehhhhhhhh. I don't begrudge the guy. or anyone at Mane6. they had their baby snatched from them by assholes trying to appeal to shareholders and keep the capital machine grinding away.
basically no publisher would pay money and salary and not get IP rights, it's what they're at the table for and nothing else

Skull girls is doin fine
At least Skullgirls managed to rise back from the ashes and even got addtional DLC fighters and a moblie port.

I dont think TFH as seen any increase in Playerbase after support for the game stoped.
TFH is the textbook deftion of a dead game at this point, and its not even a live service game.

being there for fighting is magic being dropped
to the rise of tfh with mane6 getting support from Mike to get the z engine and Lauren Faust herself to help out
then the game being released to mild support in my opinion for such a polished game, seeing people avoid it not giving it a try or consistently play bc it's "just a brony game"
for it to fizzle out in obscurity then finally this horrible event to take place

In my mind this will probably be fixing the glitches and infinites that exist in the game. This doesn't change my opinion too much, no matter what I would want this game back in control by the people who made it to truly support it or be excited for its future.
It will be nice if they at all make Baihe tournament allowable though.
Well that's a shame. Was a good game from what I played, but I don't think I'll continue now.

like, part of this game's creation story was that Lauren Faust helped on character design and art direction. I respect a dev for going with the art style they clearly wanted to make.

I would not say that "being late for the mlp hype" is the main problem, sure, its a niche audience, but if i were to point my finger at something to be the true problem, that would have been them trying to bite more than they could chew, arizonas story mode was HUGE, making a story mode like that for every single one of the 6 main characters? Thats A LOT of work.
But doing that while pushing new characters, music, stages, etc? Insane.
The amount of detail they put was amazing, different versions of each stage theme, background characters, hub stuff, etc, but its also stuff that takes time and effort to be put in.
This was a small indie dev team, they couldnt afford to do all that, it would take an insane amount of time, and as time goes on, the game will make less and less money to keep it going.
This was a game doomed to be incomplete.
