Yeah that was a great letter by the church in Hong Kong. They summed up a lot of things very well
However still much of the idea behind a lot of what they’re saying is that the local church concept is Biblical in the first place. And I’m not convinced it is anymore

@@Just-n9x I agree. I believe this truly can be a factor of exclusion of believers - in actual attitude and practice and even belief - and NOT truly inclusion, as we were taught. And there is no teaching in the Bible that believers should only meet AS a church in each city. It could have very well been a practical way to refer to early believers, a type of address… God knows if at the heart of this teaching is actually control and financial motive and superiority and exclusion and the fruit is actually division and estrangement from “other” believers and an ability to hold devout believers hostage in an abusive setting who’ve been taught this….

@@Just-n9x They also quote Watchman Nee in a way that seems to have more clout that God’s Word… but at least they promote the reading of the Bible and not just reading what people - since the canonization of the Bible - have said/written.

And I quote these brothers too - but to hopefully show “followers” the inconsistency between even what they say they follow/practice and their actual practice…. And I think these Hong Kong brothers chose helpful quotes to corner anyone who restricts or is restricted to “one ministry “ as being a sect

@@ruthwise2159 says... "And there is no teaching in the Bible that believers should only meet AS a church in each city."
Except that in the Bible there is not one reference to multiple churches in a particular geographic location... Other than it being a geographic region... And according to the Bible... All scripture is good for teaching... Which must mean that the scripture that presents one church in one specific geographic location is in fact a "...teaching...", because it is included in "...all scripture...".
Seriously, Ruth... The more you try to make it as if you can teach scripture the more your truly pathetic understanding of the reality scripture presents is exposed... Just stop trying to teach scripture.
Moving on... You continued... "...And there is no teaching in the Bible that believers should only meet AS a church in each city."
A rough estimate of the population of Jerusalem at the time Jesus was alive is between 40,000-60,000 people... In Acts 2:41 we're told that some 3,000 people were saved... And then in Acts 4:4 we're told that 5,000 were saved... Does this mean it was the same event and that the numbers got confused... Or was it two different events... Were 8,000 saved, or just 3,000/5,000?... Whatever the case... Just 3,000-5,000 is a large number of people... Where would they have been meeting... And who would have been teaching them... Were they divided up into many different church groups?... Surely they must have been divided into multiple house fellowships... And yet... The term "...the church..." (singular) was what was used in reference to the thousands of believers in Jerusalem... And further... The church in Jerusalem only had "...the apostles and the elders...".
Acts 15:4... "And when they arrived in Jerusalem, they were received by the church and the apostles and the elders, and they declared the things that God had done with them."
Moving on... You continued... "It could have very well been a practical way to refer to early believers, a type of address…"
Lord Jesus... So now God's breathed-out word needed to refer to the "...early believers..." by "...a type of address..."?
You're sounding as kooky as the folks who were saying all the crazy things the letter was referring to.
Moving on... You continued... "God knows if at the heart of this teaching is actually control and financial motive and superiority and exclusion and the fruit is actually division and estrangement from “other” believers and an ability to hold devout believers hostage in an abusive setting who’ve been taught this…."
Whew... Long sentence to unpack... But yes... God knows... AND... According to His breathed-out word... God will judge according to His timing and righteous judgment.
Do you know what God calls those who try to teach His word in error, Ruth?
      Amen.

A little quick research turned this up...

Local Church is independent in terms of administration but local churches has only one flow of fellowship all over the world. Those who are oppossed of the flow of the ministry are those who worked independent and isolated. They are not for the building up of the body of Christ rather they stablished is their little empire or controlled by the elder of every locality. So claim that they are co- worker whom they are working. They just wanted to have their own territory.Thats the problems of not knowing the body and care for the body. And even no consciousness of the body.

@@HappyAurora-zi2jc so you are admitting the flow in the local churches, the flow of “fellowship” is the flow of “the ministry” - equated to the words of W. New and W. Lee. Those in your sect would agree. I and others would say that the flow among ALL believers and all churches is the flow of the Spirit. The oneness is not about one man’s ministry but the oneness of the Spirit. And such oneness is kept by taking care of our conscience, properly clearing up offenses that occur, scripturally dealing with sinning members, judging unrighteousness and embracing truth….

@@ruthwise2159 says... "I and others would say that the flow among ALL believers and all churches is the flow of the Spirit."
Those who hold to the Roman Catholic religion call themselves believers... As do those who hold to the Jehovah's Witness religion... And those who hold to the Mormon religion... So... are they all within "...the flow of the Spirit...", Ruth?
Shoot... Muslims believe in one God... Are they in "...the flow of the Spirit..." as well?
You're sounding like Carlton Pearson with his universal reconciliation foolishness.
Moving on... You continued... "The oneness is not about one man’s ministry but the oneness of the Spirit."
Which you learned from Witness Lee's ministry.
Would you like me to quote the ministry in which he pretty much says what you just said?
Moving on... You continued... "And such oneness is kept by taking care of our conscience, properly clearing up offenses that occur, scripturally dealing with sinning members, judging unrighteousness and embracing truth."
Actually... No... It isn't, Ruth... You've just made stuff up to try and make your rhetoric sound biblical.
Romans 15:5-6... "Now the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind toward one another according to Christ Jesus, . . . That with one accord you may with one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ."
1 Peter 3:8-9... "And finally be all of the same mind, sympathetic, loving the brothers, tenderhearted, humble-minded; . . . Not rendering evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing one another, because you were called to this, that you might inherit blessing."
      And the biggies...
Philippians 2:1-11... "If there is therefore any encouragement in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship of spirit, if any tenderheartedness and compassion, . . . Make my joy full, that you think the same thing, having the same love, joined in soul, thinking the one thing, . . . Doing nothing by way of selfish ambition nor by way of vainglory, but in lowliness of mind considering one another more excellent than yourselves; . . . Not regarding each his own virtues, but each the virtues of others also. . . . Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus, . . . Who, existing in the form of God, did not consider being equal with God a treasure to be grasped, . . . But emptied Himself, taking the form of a slave, becoming in the likeness of men; . . . And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, becoming obedient even unto death, and that the death of a cross. . . . Therefore also God highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, . . . That in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, . . . And every tongue should openly confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father."
Ephesians 4:1-6... "I beseech you therefore, I, the prisoner in the Lord, to walk worthily of the calling with which you were called, . . . With all lowliness and meekness, with long-suffering, bearing one another in love, . . . Being diligent to keep the oneness of the Spirit in the uniting bond of peace: . . . One Body and one Spirit, even as also you were called in one hope of your calling; . . . One Lord, one faith, one baptism; . . . One God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all."
And I can present other scripture that pretty much says the same things as those above.
tell you what though... Why don't you present some scripture that tells us that the way to keep the oneness of the flow of the Spirit, is "...by taking care of our conscience, properly clearing up offenses that occur, scripturally dealing with sinning members, judging unrighteousness and embracing truth...".
I look forward to you doing so... So as to not cause us to think that you just make up stuff as you go along that is.
      Amen.

@@aboveandbeyond9844How afraid you are of Ruth blurting out her comments and others with your stupid arrogant speeches.
It seems that all believers who talk about the unity of the Spirit learned from W. Lee, or maybe they just read the New Testament and experienced it. However, yes, in the local churches the path to Truth is exclusively through the ministry of W. Lee, we remember this.

    • @aboveandbeyond9844

@@HelenChikina says... "How afraid you are of Ruth..."
Well... Here again, you expose your abject lack of understanding of scriptural matters, Helen.
I have no fear of Ruth and her speaking... I hold to biblical scripture, and biblical scripture tells me that... Romans 11:36... "Because out from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen."... And since I'm fine with God and His breathed-out word (biblical scripture)... I'm fine with Ruth speaking in these videos, as I know that Ruth's speaking in these videos is out from God, through God, and unto God.
Are you able to grasp that simple concept, Helen?... Try grasping this... When I look at and listen to Ruth... And yourself... I don't see or hear either of you... I see and hear God... It is God allowing Ruth to make these videos, and it is God allowing you to make your comments... Because "...all things..." are "...out from Him and through Him and to Him...".
It's really a very simple matter for us humans to grasp... God's relationship with His creation is based in and out of Himself and is unto Himself... And His salvation of man, of His entire groaning creation, is accomplished by Him causing us to realize - in the fullest definition of the word - that reality is God Himself manifested/expressed.
The entire time that I've spent interacting with Ruth and others here in her video comments section has been a blessing to me because my interaction is God-ordained... Meaning, He is who has me here interacting with Ruth and others, such as yourself.
The thing is though... My being blessed is not because of what you all think can be gained, such as the receiving of your denigrating of Witness Lee and his ministry, and those who present it today, and even the Local Church movement... My being blessed is because I am growing in Christ as I have been interacting with Ruth and others... And growth in Christ is not about the humanism that Ruth and others are presenting... Growth in Christ is of the Spirit and having ears to hear what the Spirit is saying.
It was six or seven years ago that I told a brother in the Local Church I meet with and who knew Witness Lee quite intimately, that I believed that the Lord was going to bring the ministry and the Local Churches into a new season, through, as is clearly stated in scripture, sufferings/chastenings... And when COVID hit, I knew this was the beginning of the resetting of all things related to His recovery... Which He has been working out in His economy for hundreds of years... And you may ask why I knew that COVID hitting was a part of this reset by the Lord... It is because I immediately saw the changes to the "...church life..." that so many had become comfortable in... COVID hitting brought in all sorts of intrinsic changes into the "...church-life..." of "...The Lord's Recovery...", changes that leadership is still trying to deal with in order to bring back the pre-COVID ways... But their efforts will fail... Simply because of the changed disposition that came into the members of the body, the church (this in fact has been felt throughout Christendom as a whole... If you take time to look into the matter of how "...church..." is being conducted throughout Christendom, you will find that all sorts of rethinking on the matter by believers is taking place).
And if you had a proper view of what the Lord's recovery (not an organization, by the working out of the goal of God's economy for the full salvation of man... God's economy is inherently the operating of the Lord's recovery) was, and is... You would understand that it is a process of recovering the proper way/manner in and through which God gains His desire of having an eternal dwelling place in His creation, in and through man... His recovery of this economy began in earnest with the Reformation in Europe that brought believers out of the bondage of the folly of the Roman Catholic religion... The first aspect being the making the Bible available to all people... And then bringing clarity to the matter of justification by faith... After which other matters followed, all the way up to the ministry of Watchman Nee bringing clarity to the matter of the church, and Witness Lee's ministry opening up biblical scripture in a complete way and according to the understandings that had been revealed to God's chosen ministers throughout the ages.
      Continued below...

    • @aboveandbeyond9844
      @aboveandbeyond9844 7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Continued from my comment above...
On this matter of Witness Lee's ministry... We need to be clear that it isn't Witness Lee's ministry persay... But that it is a ministry given to Witness Lee by God, through those that went before him that were given revelation by God... Witness Lee's ministry is the compilation of all that God revealed before Him regarding the opening up of biblical scripture... And I am firm in this understanding... That Witness Lee's ministry is not owned by Witness Lee, but that he is simply one more conduit in and through whom God has gained what He is after on this earth.
And to this end... Allow me to point out another person to whom God gave a specific aspect of His ministry... A person that receives very little recognition as a "...minister of the age...", and yet has one of the best-selling Christian-focused books ever published... I'm referring to Oswald Chambers and his book, My Utmost For His Highest, which was actually produced by his wife some years after his death in 1917 (it was first published in 1927 I believe)... The ministry of Oswald Chambers is absolutely aligned with Witness Lee's ministry (pre-1980s speaking), and actually presents what Lee's ministry lacks... Chambers' ministry presents the application of the reality that biblical scripture speaks to and what is the central focus of Lee's ministry that opened up scripture by compiling all the revelation about scripture that had come before him.
And I bring this up because I am fully convinced that this, Oswald Chambers' ministry, is the God-given ministry of the new season that God is bringing us - His one church - into... It is the ministry that will be the tool God uses to help those who have ears to hear what the Spirit is saying, to become overcomers in God's life and bring this age to an end... I firmly believe that the ministry that God gave to Oswald Chambers, and has quietly been disseminating throughout the believing body for almost a hundred years, is the last aspect of the Lord's recovery economy.
I'll end this comment here... But will address other things you said in another comment... But try and understand this... When a person, a born-again of God believer, realizes that we are in Christ Jesus... We have no fear of anything other than God.
      Amen.

Aurora, if you are really watching these videos, it is very unfortunate that you still do not have understanding and empathy for your sister, a woman who went through sexual, spiritual and domestic violence, like other believers in the "LR" community.
Aurora, you have already been told that this is the solid food of righteousness in Christ. You can't handle it while you're inside under the influence of this cult.
It seems that you still need only verbal milk for your spiritual growth, may the word of Christ richly inhabit you in all its wisdom. But it looks like you're just trying to discredit Ruth, and you're not succeeding.

For me this woman is full of boldness and assurance and what she has presented speaks to the presence of Christ in her life as she seeks justice and reconciliation. This woman bears psychological and spiritual scars, much like many of God’s people and especially many who escape The Lord’s Recovery, and to me it is clear that the Lord still uses the weak to confound the strong and the foolish to confound the wise.
Those who would shame, shun, and harass a woman for speaking truth and seeking justice for physical, sexual, psychological, and spiritual abuse are, to me, among the most pathetic and disgusting human beings to draw breath.
