2010, moved to Prescott AZ, walked into High Country Gun to look at buying a 1911. I had my hands on a Springfield TRP & ready to buy it until my eye caught a glimpse of the Nighthawk Dominator. I tried to find every reason not to spend at the time 2800.00 on a pistol but I lost the fight. And it was a decision I have never regretted. If you're a true fan of 1911's & if there is anyway possible, it would give you such pride of ownership in owning one. Plus you add in how great of a company they are to deal with (They should give customer service lessons to Colt) You'll love every minute you spend with it.

There are no peers when it comes to a Nighthawk Custom 1911!!! The quality of design, manufacturing, fit & finish, performance, accuracy and overall feel during firing is worth every penny!! It is a lot to spend for these 1911s but you will not regret the purchase. I have yet to come across a Nighthawk Custom 1911 buyer who has buyer's remorse!!! The only question in my mind after getting mine was - why didn't I buy one sooner?!!!!

Les Baer 1911s are the best in my opinion. Only custom 1911 I’ll own.

I visited they're vault on a tour last summer, and been dreaming ever since. The front of house, Smith's, and owner are very nice and try to accommodate you.
