    Hello Andrew, I am wondering if it's possible to have a push notification or an alert/alarm
    if the solar panels ever got disconnected, sort of like an anti theft mechanism

    Hello , good video . Can i ask a question concerning the graphics of the energy management ? Should the red line , total consumption , not be the sum of the blue line , consumed from pv , and the purple line , battery discharge ? Can the battery discharge purple line also stand for electricity sent to the grid from the battery ? If the purple one is identical to the red one , does that then mean that the battery has been discharged unto the grid , or that there has been a consumer at work in the house ? Also , when the pv is charging the battery , should there then not be a flow to the grid , and isn't this then waste when so , and can one tune or regulate that with parameters for the battery ? Thank you .

      'Total Consumption' means exactly that. The sum of consumed power whether it comes from the grid, from the battery, the PV.
      Battery discharge is again, just that. If the battery is setup to discharge to loads and to the grid this line will simply show the sum of all discharge.
      "PV is charging battery"...why should there be a flow on to the grid?
      Depending on how the installation has been configured, it might say...
      Charge the battery with any available PV as a priority and then any surplus goes to loads in the house and grid
      or vice versa.

    Hello, great video! I have a question if you don't mind answering: Besides the inverter, what extra gear is required to have a Huawei Sun2000 inverter provide this level of reporting?

      The inverter consumption meter, or smart meter.

    Hello Andrew
    Is it possible to retrieve historical data?
    before I installed the dongle

    Hey Andrew,
    After the huawei inverter update my luna2000 battery does not charge nor discharge.
    The battery settings show that nothing has changed, it should be charging and discharging, but it does not
    Any tips?

    Hi. Thanks for the informative videos, really appreciate them.
    One question I have is, is it normal that a solar installer/supplier is able to access their clients' data?
    I'm sure there wouldn't be many that would do so with nefarious intentions, but I also feel it's overstepping the privacy of the customer.
    Or is it typically consensual for specific reasons other than to demonstrate efficiency?
    ✌️

      Yes, very common. The primary reason is to check if the system is working correctly. I have about 1,000 x Huawei, Fronius, Sungrow, Growatt, Goodwe etc systems that I can monitor but mostly I am responding to alarms that notify me when there's a problem. We can also upload firmware upgrades remotely. Recently I had a customer who had one of his strings of panels go down. The panels were all fitted with optimisers so I remotely re-booted the optimisers, and the system worked fine. So it's a lot more the accessing client data, and anyway...it's just solar data, probably the least interesting thing imaginable as it is so entirely predictable.

    Hi Andrew,thank you very much for this video. I have one question .I have a Huawei inverter 10ktl and battery 10 kw .
    Can i make in Fusionsolar app that batteries to charge during the day(from solar panels ) and to use them during the night, or another method that is better.
    Thank you.

    • @solar4ever843
      @solar4ever843  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maximum self-consumption is the default setting for the battery so charge during the day and discharge at night is normal. Therefore, if that is not happening then your settings need to be adjusted by your installer or by Huawei. You have the Huawei solar support contact details for your country???

    Hi Andrew, thank you for the update video, very helpful. I have recently had a Huawei system installed and would like to charge the battery using power from my solar and from the grid during the same 24hr period but I am struggling to work out how. Have you come across this issue before? I am situated in the UK and our solar system at this time of year does not produce enough power to fill the battery (15kwh) so I have to rely on the grid to top up. Any advice greatly welcomed

      I am always careful about giving advice to people outside of Australia because manufacturers make different products for different markets and have different rules and regs to follow in each market.
      I think the best advice I can give you is to call Huawei support. It's free, 24x7 and the process is...
      (1) Call the number and explain that you want to talk to an engineer.
      (2) Have your inverter serial number and make sure your inverter is online on Fusionsolar so the engineer can examine it and make any changes remotely that you require.
      Here is the web page for Huawei Solar Support in the EU.

      Cheers

    Can you please help. I have just instaled the app and i thought i had set the tariff price. As i went back to the main page, i notice that the decimal point did not activate, soy tariff was way to high. I tried to go back to change the tariff but found i could not go back to statistics. Now i cant swipe it up or down any more. Can you help please?

      I'm sorry but this sounds like you need to get in touch with your supplier or the manufacturer help desk.

    Hello Andrew, is there a way to export hourly "total consumption" data from fusiosolar? On the overview page in the bottom left graph this is the red line, but in the downloaded report I cannot find a column called consumption...

    Does this customer run a air con off this system? if so what size. Thank you

    • @solar4ever843
      @solar4ever843  ปีที่แล้ว

      Judging by their daily loads over Summer I'd say probably nothing much more than a 5.5kW split, because their patterns of consumption that look like aircon use, aren't going above 1.5kW.

    Does the app show per data per phase on 3-phase installations?

    • @solar4ever843
      @solar4ever843  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, or at least I've not found loads per phase. Grid voltages per phase, sure. It's a good one to ask Huawei. I'll do that next chance. Output from the panels/battery is always going to be evenly split across the 3 phases because that's how three phase inverters work, exchanging power with the grid via a bi-directional electricity meter so that high loads on one phase are netted out by exports to the meter on another phase.

    • @bgpedro1
      @bgpedro1 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@solar4ever843 it would be interesting if we could see consumption from the house per phase, in case loads per phase could be optimized. On the other hand if grid export is netted out across phases then this is less important
