I really like adding in mods that expand the dialogue options and events, especially for the dateable characters. There’s also a lot of mods that fix character dialogue after marriage to make them seem like they actually still love you 🥹 my fragile heart needed it lol
now i wish i played on pc 😭

How do you download a mod? I have a laptop and I have never done it before
@@paigemarino2799 I’m kinda late but the official wiki has a guide for it. In short you need to download smapi, and then drag all your mod files into the mod folder

@@chaosbean6320 there are actually a few games that came out recently on playstation and xbox that allow modding. i think it’s a huge possibility (crossing my fingers as a main console player)
I love the Idaida's witchy mods suite! It turns torches into little floating purple flames, so cute!

Easy fishing suite (I'm terrible at fishing). Skull cavern elevator.
Those changed my game from incredible frustrating to actually enjoyable again.
I also have the medieval buildings, they're beautiful.

One mod that is a must have for me (and is the reason I even downloaded mods in the first place) is More New Fish
It adds SO many unique and interesting fishes (and besides, fishing is the best part of the game imo)
Fishing is W for sure
I hate fishing on pc. It's not so bad on mobile. But pc.. I have to get the mod that Skips the mini game

When I go to download the to-dew mod, it says to download a Generic Mod Config Menu and a GMCM Options mod. Are those necessary???

The fat animals mod makes the dinosaur look like a bulbasaur

I love all these mods so much!! I would personally add a couple tho😅
I would add UI Info Suite 2, it’s AMAZING, it shows the luck, birthdays, traveling cart and such underneath the clock area. It also shows the growth time on plants if you hover over them
If you choose the elle’s buildings on farm mod, it pairs really nicely with the elle’s town buildings mod, it gives the same vibe and is very cute!
Chests anywhere is a bit cheaty, but as an adhd girlie, it saves my life every time! you can access any chest anywhere!
better chests allows you to pick up chests even if they’re full, and makes the inside even bigger!
bigger backpack adds another row/backpack upgrade you can buy from pierre’s!
child to npc makes your kids grow up and hang out in town and play with jas and vincent!
secretariat makes your horse MUCH faster, so worth it!
I can’t think of any more off the top of my head, but these are some i would definitely recommend checking out!! loved this video nino, all the ones you mentioned are incredible as well!! just wanted to add a couple of my faves as well🥰
OH!! Also stardrop is a must have for anyone with multiple modded saves!!

When you talked about World Expansion, I was sure you'd mention mods like Stardew Valley Expanded, Ridgeside Village and East Scarp (to name those I normally play with). Another aesthetic mod to consider is IdaIda's Goth Buildings.

A mod that I like to use is the one where you can see the fish in the water
1:14 That placement with the bench and candle is interesting. On the one hand, they're misaligned with the stairs, but on the other, they need to be because that diagonal path would be the fastest way down, instead of a full 90 degree turn at the table.

The good thing about the tractor mod is that you can configure the cost of the tractor. I reduced the price to 50 and set the iridium requirement to 0, which made it much easier to get while also putting in some effort. And given the custom farm I'm using, I DESPERATELY need the tractor axing down all the trees.
Some of my favorites that weren't mentioned: deluxe journal (similar to to-dew list but also has a place for notes) and skate horse (changes horse into skateboard). Also chests anywhere for the other cheaters like me

I love love LOVE the LookUp Anything mod!! You can even check out mixed seeds that you planted but promptly forgot what you've planted!

SVE with Ridgeside is one of my best. Enjoyed all the events with almost 50 npcs😂 And I would recommend all the 'better' series for the esthetic look. Better artisan, Better crops, Better rings, Better gems better somewhat mode. And 'Seasonal' is always great keywords combined to. Seasonal floors, Seosonal fence. Don't miss UI info2 for all the detailed information, including recipes, luck, animal needs to be patted, tools upgrade, weather, and forages.

While I’m adding a bunch of mods for what’s basically my first play-through, I’m gonna save SVExpanded for a semiconductor play-through.
The last one felt like being hit with a boat on the road when you were expecting to be hit by a truck

It's great for selling your goods to others and I also use it to talk and gift to everyone I missed during the week. It fits well with the base game for those who don't want to feel like they are 'cheating'
For recolors of the world I recommend: Starblue Valley and Earthy Recolor
I use starblue valley but I'm planning in change it to Earthy Recolor, but I don't know if I should do it or not xd

Looks like we have similar tastes in mods. I recommend the Oasis Greenhouse and Seasonal Garden Farmhouse (compatible with the medieval mods) if you like the Hot Spring Cave and whatnot. It adds so much to the game. Very enjoyable.

She is a gamer like myself, she is adventurous, She loves rocks and that is funny because my character I made is an Earth Element Warrior(made my character before Avatar existed mind you) and we both were blue and black. And Caroline told me Abby normally had chestnut brown hair and my character Chaud has brown hair. Coincidence??

I’ve always felt strongly that every rpg or life/farming sim needs to have a to-do list or notes app. I am SICK of having to look at my phone or another app on my other monitor to keep track of my own personal goals! That would probably be my favorite mod. I’ll definitely have to get it
I accidentally went down a rabbit hole because when installing NikoDaisy's Tilesheets for the hot spring mod because I misread "Mods requiring this mod" as "Mod requirements" and ended up installing all of those mods, and their dependencies, thinking that they were all dependencies. :')

I’ve had Stardew since it came out on my laptop and phone my phone one is on year 4 never have I ever moded it and I’ve got pretty much everything u could have from the game even the really unique stuff on my laptop it’s more aesthetic dunno why I’ve never moded it cause I mod my sims and terraria to the point my laptop crashes thx for this😭😭

Wait- what mod gave Emily the shorter hair? I’ve often wondered if there was a mod to make the characters look more adult.
Might be part of the Seasonal mod. There's also Diverse Stardew Valley, which also comes with seasonal outfits. You can either keep the characters vanilla or you can give them changes to make them look more real/mature. There's a TON of options, including ethnicity changes (if you're into that sort of thing). Modded plus sized Abigail is so cute that it's jarring to go back to her vanilla design.
That might be the sexier one he mentioned at the beginning? I liked it too, hopefully you can choose who it changes though

Actually I think that SVExpanded is overwhelming. I prefer seat scarp over it, becuse I just love the npcs more (Im married to aideen :3) and it doesn't change the town or add MASSIVE FORESTS that i get lost in, or things like weird teleporting when you do some location. I reccomend you check it :3
You can use the cheat menu for instant building
