You can get one....If you think the Pro is expensive. They are selling these babies for an even nicer CHUNK. Still the translucent blue PS4 Pro 500 million limited edition was better. Don't get me wrong it's hella nice. I just think each PlayStation should have their own unique design. This just reminds me of the original on steroids 🤷🏻

I made my own ps1 style cable using a broken ps1 controller taking the end piece carefully cutting it open and gluing a type c cable in it and it turned out amazing
@@NoLoyxlty more of the ps1 cable since it's grey and this console is based entirely off the ps1 (by color) but I can see how you can think it's the ps2 because I've seen a few grey ps2 controllers
So mad at Sony for making this beauty so scarce. Should've just been in mass production to honor the fans that have supported the brand for decades. But scalpers selling for 4000-5000$ being the only options available feels so wrong. 😡
What bothers me too is there are people out there buying it from scalpers at ridiculous prices. I noticed on aliexpress you can get the 30th anniversary faceplate with the coloured ps logo and 30th anniversary sticker. Can't see faceplates for the pro though assuming as the pro just came out I'm sure they do it soon
Why didn't Sony just make this the standard color for the Pro or at least sell this model for half a year at least? They are literally losing money over people not being able to pick this up.
Actually they earning more money by granting 1k sales, if they make 10k units and those 10k units are sold out due fomo and pressure straight out for 1k each, thats more profit than makeing 100k and only having 5k being sold at full price. Scarcity sales

Its cool but i feel i didnt miss out. People must've forgot. It's gray plate covers and some extra plastic pieces for decorations. The guts are still exactly the same as any other models. The only significant thing about this is its 30th anniversary plate covers.
i think if you want the cable end to work a little more, give the console a disc drive and place it on it's side, it will resemble the PS1 a little more.
I don’t have a ps5 but wanted one so I decided on a 30th anniversary slim model since I only paid $100 over retail a month or two after release I don't mind that price hike. I get a PS5 slim and some cool little nice-to-haves. Only reason I did it (after being strictly PC and switch for about 5 years now) is because my ps+ has been active for at least 10 years straight now @ at least 2 free games/month from my brother in law claiming the games on my account every month so he doesn't have to pay for ps+, plus a few digital purchases so I do have a pretty good size library of games. Otherwise it wouldn't have been as good a decision to have to rebuild a library for yet another gaming thing. If you already have a PS5 or are just now entering the PlayStation ecosystem after already having a fleshed out library on another platform but want the 30th anniversary edition, just get a regular slim and check eBay for replica shells cause I've seen some pretty good ones on there for cheap. From what I've read, all the nostalgic home screen stuff is only gonna be there for a limited time then we're all back to default home screens anyways so all we'll have left is the grey shell and the little (30th anniversary) print between the shells. So if you missed out, don't feel too bad about it. Shame on Sony for continuing the false scarcity trend thinking they're raising hype for it. I mean if people want it people will buy it regardless. Just make quality shit and you won't HAVE to create fake hype.
I don’t mind not getting this, but why didn’t make the faceplates of the ps5 slim compatible with the pro version? This doesn’t make sense, ok, don’t let me have the 30 aniversario edition, but at least give me the option to personalize to the color I like with some faceplate colors.
