    This helps narrow down which crappy cheek rest to go with. Thank you! 😺

    A rubber flap with rough grid under it wil also work.
    That tape on a wooden stock is a no go.
    I stick to the foam and self adhesive tape….

    I got the cheapo black one with the green pocket on about 4 desperate rifles. Put some pipe I station under it for height
    Cheap but effective

    They sell those crappy cheek rests on Amazon too. The one I got is branded Voodoo Tactical and it is terrible. The attachment straps don’t work well for any rifle and they are in the way. Mine came with a cartridge holder that won’t attach when the straps are folded in place. The Hornady cheek rest is 100x better and it has a pocket that is usable.

    Are there good/better cheek-rest products you can recommend?

    I wish they'd just use eyelets and boot laces. Those were a lot easier to work with and didn't move at all when you cinched them down. I have a few of these cheap Chinese ones and I've had good luck with anti-slip drawer liner. I don't want to use double-sided tape on my wood stocks.

      Oh, drawer liner is a good idea.

      @@Huntinggearguy Oooohhh, I just tried a silicone pot holder. That works much better!

    Think I’m going to go with the kydex one you drill and adjust

    • @Huntinggearguy
      @Huntinggearguy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Those are the better long term option.

    Those things suck ass bad. My bro ordered 1 and the attachment was too long and never fit. I ordered another one with only a pouch on the side and it seemed to work good.

    Quotes Red Green but uses foam tape instead of duct tape. Sorry sir you had a possible 5 out of 5 review but then you blew it all away. 😊

    • @Huntinggearguy
      @Huntinggearguy  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'll have to order some flannel-pattern duct tape for the next one.

      Very good, I think you learned your lesson. Upgraded to a 4 out of 5 pending you plaid duct tape review.

    These are cr@p but improved by throwing away the straops and just putting holes in it and lacing with paracord

    Was that your CRPS set-up?

      I've got 2 CRPS setups. The Norc NS522 with Sightron SIII 6-24 on a 30 MOA rail and Marlin 795 with Covenant on 27 MOA of Burris Rings for the boy.
