The reaction on this is so on point you can fit all the right words I couldn’t put up but felt it within! Man that was a great observation!

Great tune!!! Another one off that album that has a similar theme is “I Drive the Hearse”. That song is more about being trapped in a relationship/marriage. Some of the lyrics are “When this boredom wears me out. When the sky begins to cloud. Sleeping with my ball and chain. When she cries I take the blame…” it’s an amazing tune that I have related too a couple of times.

Everything from PT is a piece of mastery. SW is without question to most creative and talented composer/arranger in the era of progressive rock - and that includes Floyd. SW's musicality, lyrics and production are simply in a different league. Perhaps controversial, but as a lifelong music nut, and being 70, I have heard most of what has been on offer for the past 60 odd years - and SW is an absolute genius. Another suggestion - Pariah live from the Royal Albert Hall., and studio version of Always Never.

The Incident is a concept album. It's important to remember this expresses a certain feeling somewhere in the story Wilson is telling.

The live version of Halo by Porcupine Tree live at Tilburg is another great one! Would love to see you do that one

Another from KSCOPE (Steven Wilson and Bruce Soords YT promo channel). Steven Wilson and Tim Bowness colaboration. Read the Wikipedia on Tim. I think he is an orbit center where all these artists group around. His album Abandoned Dancehall Dreams featured Pat Mastelotto and Colin Edwin (O.R.K.) and Classical composer Andrew Keeling. Richard Barbieri. Mixed by Bruce Soord (The Pineapple Thief). In 2001, Bowness co-founded the online record label and store Burning Shed. This is where I buy a lot of my CDs and DVDs. No-Man and Steven Wilson.
Have a look at No-Man - Back When You Were Beautiful (from Mixtaped DVD) copy and paste in search above, links tend to be deleted.

Suggestion based on on your last comment: It would be fun to hear a provisional list of favourite PT tracks and your reasons why. For me, all these PT reactions are a re-visit of songs I really haven't listened to for years and yet I'm still discovering new things about them or at least appreciating different aspects now than I did then.

Check out Riverside if you want another band to be blown away by.

Wow, I missed this PT song somehow! I just keep throwing more suggestions your way, ha, groups no one ever reacts to so maybe it's not profitable viewer wise but I love sharing artists I think some reactors might never have heard of. Another band I love is called Great Lake Swimmers and I prefer the studio version of this first song because the lyrics come through more clearly than the live version I saw online. This song is called "Various Stages" and they have a sound that's like a mix of folk and soft rock (indie-folk I believe it's called) and such lovely haunting harmony. Here is a fair live version. th-cam.com/video/IzNWkxkrZQo/w-d-xo.html
The 2nd song I love by them (which I actually like better than Various Stages so this one should have been #1 ha) is called "Moving Pictures, Silent Film" and there is a great live acoustic version as well as the studio recording that are both excellent. th-cam.com/video/cad7Z1rMZfs/w-d-xo.html
And the 3rd fave I want to request by them is the acoustic version of "The Talking Wind" it is beautiful. The official video was taped in a cathedral so it has wonderful acoustics and of course more instruments and a girl doing backing vocals but I just enjoy the quiet acoustic version best. Tony Dekker is the singer for this band. Here is the acoustic version th-cam.com/video/6wpYUhyIMMk/w-d-xo.html

I love how Steven flips the "bad guy" role in this breakup song. Normally, the song is from the point of view of the aggrieved, asking why the other "done them wrong". In this song, his girlfriend clearly keeps asking him to come back, despite the fact that he has treated her like shit and keeps warning her that it would be in her best interest to move on with their lives.

Great track. I saw you checking out a few Karnivool tracks. They are one of my favourite bands along with PT/Steven Wilson. However, a lot of the mixes on their live shows on TH-cam are a bit dodgy. Please check out Alpha Omega by them (the Ghost City Sessions). The song and mix are just stellar. Also maybe check out Dead Man off the Sound Awake album. The album version is incredible! Cheers!

Why do you interrupt so much? Only kidding. I really like that you are a genuine reactor, going deeply into the artists works and not looking for a quick fix. I think that it will be worth it because you will have genuine subscribers, like me, who really appreciate your reactions. Keep on rocking and reacting
