Porcupine Tree - Always Never (2016 Remaster)

The fourth track from "Up The Downstair". I have split all of the tracks into their original selves as SW combined the album into four songs for the latest reissue (you can see this on Spotify, etc):
1. What You Are Listening To... / Synesthesia / Monuments Burn Into Moments / Always Never
2. Up The Downstair
3. Not Beautiful Anymore / Siren / Small Fish
4. Burning Sky / Fadeaway
Very strange for anything other than the vinyl tracklist, so I changed it back. Pretty disappointed it's been spread over four sides, I was looking forward to having "Staircase Infinities" on the reissue.

This remaster is probably my favorite Porcupine Tree song; it has the 70s-ideas-meet-90s-capabilities psychedelia of his earlier stuff with all of the prog excess and production that became their staple in the later years.

I have only recently heard of this band and every time I hear a new song it’s better than the last!!! This one does remind me a little of Sid Barrett’s Floyd but that’s no bad thing. I love it, along with everything Steven a Wilson does. What an amazing guy.
