Nixon was born in 1913 in the House at the Library. His dad built the house from a kit in 1912. The Wilson Desk still sits in the Vice President's office on Capitol Hill as the VPs Ceremonial Desk.

It’s a nice but I honestly prefer the Regan museum. The view is absolutely stunning. Not to mention has an actual Air Force One.

The best part of the Musuem was the hallway where they had information on each of the photos/art of Richard dating Pat at the time. He was very romantic. He would spend time at the beach, restaurants, picnics, drives with his girlfriend at the time. Dana Point beach, Hollywood restaurants, New York, etc.

It was the taping system, shown at 14:40, that brought the Nixon Presidency to an inevitable end. There's little that Nixon could do to prevent that outcome. He tried claiming "executive privilege" and that didn't work; he released edited transcripts of the taped conversations but Special Prosecutor Cox wasn't satisfied, he wanted the unedited tapes themselves; Nixon released some tapes that did not contain the "smoking gun" conversation he had with Haldeman, but Special Prosecutor Jaworski, Judge John Sirica, Barry Goldwater, Sam Ervin, James St. Clair (Nixon's own lawyer), ............... demanded more. Nixon was essentially trapped by the taping system he had installed in the Oval Office and in the EOB.

The tapes showed he was deeply involved in it. It was his bad luck that he got caught.

It's interesting to mention that, when Trump, Liz Cheney, Bush Jr.,........ would come to California for speaking engagements, they won't go to the Nixon Library. They would go to the library of the 40th POTUS, Ronald Reagan, up there in Simi Valley, which is about 80 miles away from Yorba Linda. For some reason, they would favor the Reagan Library over the Nixon Library.

@williamwatson4625 well for one thing, the Reagan library has an incredible space for a gathering there in the Air Force, one hanger inside the library so I totally get the appeal.
