Just came across one of your other videos which was great, saw this title and had to watch, been looking for your first tip, how to "turn", exactly what I was looking for!! Will try it this weekend for sure, maybe I can finally stop tearing my grass all to pieces (actually mostly weeds so it doesn't really matter now, but would like to get this technique down pat so I don't tear up other peoples lawns in the future...)!! Thanks
Great video. I’m using a JCB micro and have dug out 12” clay across my lawn, leaving it like an ocean with a lot of waves across the top of the clay. I want to level this out and have been trying to drag the edge of the blade towards the machine whilst taking off a half inch. However, when using the controls I find it difficult to keep the blade at the same height as it travels towards the machine. Initially, the sweep is ok then the blade starts to lift, so I lower the boom a small amount, but if I am not careful the blade will start to cut deeper rather than stay level, due to the arc it travels through. I have been practicing and made some improvement, but it’s hard work. Does the bigger machines have some form of auto levelling, or it is down to practice?
I am new to excavators. This was VERY helpful. Thank you.
That was fantastic information. Thanks mate Tim from Australia 🇦🇺

It's all time in the seat. The bigger machines do have more stability and power which does make a difference but even then its all operator.
