Bethany Sangra yes I am now at an age when it’s easy to put on weight. I’ve always been slender, I was naturally skinny. I have never been diagnosed with an eating disorder. A few years ago I temporarily moved to a rental house I gained 12 pounds without even knowing it until I moved back and realized #12 needed to be shed. I simply cut out most of the empty calories and lost #12 over 9 months. It can creep up on you. What keeps me on task, at least weekly weighing and I have been motivated to make adjustments based on my daily dry weight. Mindless eating is what I call it. A religious food diary works to expose eating one may not recall

I love how she actually tries to eat as much of the food as possible where as other super skinnies don't even try. The two typically shame each other a lot but this episode is great cuz they're both supportive of each other's recovery. It's probably cuz they both understand what's wrong with them and don't think "oh well at least I'm better off them that person" they're probably thinking bout how they should change more than anything.
They both clearly realise things need to change, and actually WANT to do something constructive about it. I've seen a lot of episodes where they still don't seem to totally agree they have a problem whilst surviving on a mars bar and 30 mugs of coffee per day.
The chats over the meals were so much easier to watch than most of the other episodes. They had a mutual of understanding that Rebecca openly said she needs to eat more and Joseph said his eyes were opened at how much less he should be eating, and he even enjoyed the dish with more colour in it! This is definitely my favourite episode.

What really bothers me right now, is that I thought she looked good, skinny but not unhealthy. It shocked me a bit to hear her BMI is so low. I think that shows how being underweight is supported in media. Size 0 is a goal, models are even thinner than her and so on. Where overweight people are shamed for being lazy, underweight people are praised for looking good/fitting in the designer dresses.
People are slowly starting to realize the dangers of not eating enough and being too thin. Everybody is "naturally skinny" these days but in reality they are on diets and/or over excercising. It's just a panic response to the obesity problem. They'll realize eventually that you can actually eat everything you want whenever you want and not get even close to obesity levels. The ammount of food obese people eat is insane. That's an ED. No average Joe or Jane can eat that much junk every day.

I used to be obsessed with the chocolate Special K. I went through a box a day and was spending a FORTUNE on this premium cereal. I had to quit cold turkey and years later still had dreams I was eating Special K.
Porridge or outmeal is a great alternative! I have warm outmeal which I make with coconut milk. It's very very low in kcal, good for you, and quite sweet bc the coconut milk is sweet. Pretty cheap as wel :)
Watching theses 2 support eachother in a respectful way no judgement has made this so much better to watch as sometimes the super sized or super skinny are nore judgemental to the other but this episode 100% one of the best one

THAT'S CRAZY. A pizza with salame piccante (so the italian version of pepperoni) here in Italy has around 800 calories. It's still a lot, but it's less than 1/3 of the one shown in the video! I'm shook, what did they put in there?????
It'd be really sad if they weight shamed her into quitting her running... Lost my mother to cancer when I was younger and grew up with asthma. Running is one of those things that's given me my confidence back. You don't just fall out of bed and win a race like that.
When doc lays out the food it would be more shocking to see the food in "normal" size bowls. In those "Joseph size" bowls, a month doesn't look that crazy.
Yeah, I thought his "serving size" was extremely optimistic. I've measured cereal. It's next to nothing. Like maybe 100g. I thought he could fit about 4 box servings in his bowl. But food is designed to be addictive, never mind after it's had chemicals thrown into it to MAKE it addictive.
One thing about this show for people in the US, it helps a lot of us with our quick math skills. Nobody else in the entire world uses the unit "stone" to measure weight, so you're always multiplying x14 and adding in your head. Metric makes a lot more sense; some of these shows make me feel less bad for my country in that we're only using *some* archaic measures still. BMI is pretty jacked up when you're tall. I'm nearly 6'4" and at my heaviest I weighed more than the supersizer on there (hurt my knee and I couldn't work out, then worked behind a desk for long stretches per day) but even when I was at my lightest as an adult and ripped at 250# I would have still been considered overweight. Haven't owned a scale; just used the ones at the gym but no workouts for the last year + except walking / bodyweight stuff...I was trying to get below 300# again but I don't know how successful I've been.
Him: It's about twice the recommended amount of cereal you should eat. Actually, it's about 4x the serving size. Not that most people eat the serving size but even if he ate half, he'd be miles ahead.

Well I was told my vitamin D levels was almost the same as a corpse today I’m that deficient and my legs bending so I know why now , pretty bloody scary !

apparently you need fat to absorb vitamin D, my coworker said her sister only ate no fat things and got D deficient so make sure to eat fat
@@xSwordLilyx actually it's calcium. you need adequate calcium in your diet in order to properly absorb Vit D

If I were starving, I still go outside 5 miles or 3 hours a day.
I really wish dr. Christian would do this in the US. We are so unhealthy compared to the people we've seen from the UK!

Until recently, I was a super skinny. This show helped me see how very little I ate. I envisioned my food tube.....5 cups coffee for breakfast...no lunch, water, a small salad for supper and to he'd hungry. Whatever super sizer had to eat that would rip my arm off and eat it

Such a lovely episode ,both of you really cared for & respected each other.Rebecca reminded me of lady Di, I really enjoyed watching how you cared about each other.I am a person who lost weight also,128 lbs it took me 18 months ,& that was 13 years ago,& now no meds at all.
I did it on the Canada food guide , I took 4 months to learn how to eat properly ,then I added in walking &2 years in I started yoga ( simply yoga, u tube) it’s so gentle anyone can do it.GOOD ON YA! Ps.the food guide has changed this year ,but the 2018 is the one I used. All the best everyone.🎃🍁🌺🌸🌼🇬🇧🇨🇦M

That was funny - I had to think for a second to realize what she meant. To be fair, it does "look like" it would be pronounced Ar-Kans-uss. Makes me think of George Carlin's word pronunciation jokes. "Kansas" = Kans-uss. "Arkansas" = Ark in Saw. It doesn't make sense. Hooked on Phonics can't help in every situation!
