I would redesign the plant so that when material is separated it goes on another conveyor belt and be shredded and then bagged.
John, they only pick clean, untreated wood, which is sold as hog fuel. Clean wood accounts for 50-60% of the C&D stream.
Proterra does any of the extra wood get ground up like they do through places like Waste Management? Like when they do the composting
Fascinating to watch but what a hell of a workplace. Poor people that has to work there.
I wonder how much of that stuff comes from when homes and others buildings are being built. Like with the extra wood and stuff that's left over
How come the sorters don't remove all the wood on the conveyor belt?
Probably can't catch all of it.
They are probably only looking for clean hard wood (probably to be ground up to make fiber board) and not plywood or treated wood.
You need a robot picker in there.
Most of the things don't get picked up by anyone. Are they wasted?
Maybe they send them to another facility with a more advanced system. This looks rather like a presorting, reducing the bulk. The magnetic pile would also need to be cleaned up.
good job!
And the employee of the month badge goes to ???????????????????????????????????
wow what a piss poor crew of pickers 1st guy held the piece of tin siding for over a min
