Love and admire the Jock Regts- so much colour, character and elan about them. The Scots have a long established, and hard won reputation as superb fighting soldiers. They are stoical, extremely tough and durable with terrific spirit. Best infantry soldiers in the world. It's no accident that there are plenty of Jocks in both Para Regt and the SAS- the cream always rises. During WW2, the British infantry division that the Germans feared most was the 51st Highland Div- reformed and rebuilt after being captured in France in 1940. During the Normandy campaign, the German's ensured that they placed an elite SS division in front of the 51st to prevent them breaking into the German defensive lines and causing havoc. It's documented in Wehrmacht archives- Fritz was extremely wary of the 51st. Great work by the P's & D's, good drill, great parade- superb effort by The Black Watch. I have a soft spot for The Watch. I was on a course in Vimy Lines, Catterick in 1996 along with lads from the Black Watch TA battalion. They were superb blokes and great to get on with, Barry, John and Gregor- Halcyon days! Hearing, 'Glendaruel Highlanders,' the regimental march of the now defunct Liverpool Scottish Regt (TA) was a major highlight from a personal perspective. Very well done boys- proud of you all. *RESPECT* from England!

Absolute impossible in Germany! Absolutely fantastic! I still remember getting to jointly play with my brass band and the local regiment bagpipes in my part of Canada. my gr. uncle was with the royal highlanders or Blackwatch that stormed Vimy Ridge in 1917..last war they wore kilts..Germans called them..Ladies from Hell..
My grandfather was in the Canadian Expositionary Force and fought at Vimy Ridge. He took out a sniper but later was wounded. All the men in his unit were killed in action except for him and one other soldier. He was sent back to London to recuperate from a hip injury that remained with him the rest of his life. He met King George while there. He told me the first two lines of barbed wire were difficult but the by the time you got to the third line of barbed wire that was where the machine guns were and they suffered terrific losses. Our ancestors were highland Scots from Colonsay, Scotland. His father still spoke Gaelic. My father also fought at D Day. Scotland the Brave!
My great, great uncle was a Captain Welsh of the Scottish border regiment in the first World War he led his men over the top and was killed. Never found his body. His batman saw him fall, but in the melee he was lost. There is talk of him being buried in the tomb in a church in France of the unknown officer, as he was the only one that was not found out of the officers.
A few years ago well many i saw a parade in Buckie loved it and lucky enough to live near Windsor now and see this every other day but you can't beat the pipes and drums

My Dad was a drum sergeant, this chokes me up but i just love it. Also ive not seen the base drum hit so hard continuously like that, it would have sounded awesome echoing between those high buildings.
My grandfather was a base drummer. Fought at Suvla Bay with the Royal Inniskilling. lions led by donkeys. Churchill was First Sea Lord. Can anyone enlighten me with Churchill's Naval experience. Thought not. Sent a fleet through the the Dardanelles, the most mined seaway on the planet!! We lost 6 battleships and several hundred sailors. Not that he gave a shit. Why do we continue to deify this man.?

@@janetross8601 Jealous enemies the Scots have alway's been the show stealers even in War.During ww1 the Scots went into the fight pipes blaring with the kilts swirling no other regiments got a look in and many resented the attention they got esp off the ladies. This is in the old Encyclopedias called a pictorial history of the Great war i had one from 1916 and it had a story of this jealous resentment so it can be checked the book has Britannia on the front and still be bought on the internet .
I’m lost for words. Absolutely brilliant.
Totally love for the music. Jim&Margie
I am so proud to be Scottish.God Bless you all.🏴
What a super Proud Division!
With best regards from Germany!
Super group. Loved the tunes. Our band plays most of them. They were here in AZ a few years ago and presented a fabulous performance.
Amazing to watch, I love Bagpipes, And drums, this was moving and beautiful!
Thanks lads for your service 💙
I'm an American Scot and a "Covenanter". My branch of the Thompson family came to these shores in 1720.
As a piper and past president of the local St. Andrews Society, I proudly embrace my heritage. Thank you for posting this video.
Always loved Scotland. It's in your heart
Hi from Uruguay! Love this and glad that they came back home♥
Best advert ever for the UK and Scotland's Army.
BRITISH ARMY PLEASE
Thank you for your service as a loyal ally of the United States
AH the Former 22nd Highland Regement . The Late Queen Mother's Regiment. Being a Former Soldier myself of 30 years Proud Service I SALUTE YOU AND THANKYOU FOR YOUR SEVICE.
Every war horse that ever lived is like, man that pony has it so easy haha. Little late but welcome home 3 SCOTS.
Absolute impossible in Germany! When the german soldiers returned from Afghanistan there was no parade, no greetings from politicians (chancellor or defense minister), no applause or anything like that. They got off the plane and took a taxi home. That was all.
Great video and may the gods bless Scotland.
Kick those politicians out
@@frederickgates4349 That is also impossible because we lost the war. The whole world would think there were a new Coup D‘Etat of Nazis in Germany. Military and economic problems with EU and US were the consequences. Germany would be fucked.
Politics my dear f. politics
The Scots the pride and glor.y....l love you all so much ❤ 💗 💖
Maybe the German Legion of Napoleonic times should reform...or do as many seasoned NCO, s from the Republic of Ireland are doing ( have done for generations) ...and take the Queen's shilling and join the British army....
I am getting Goosebumps of this.. greetings from Germany
This is amazing. Thank you from the mother of a veteran
Hits the Heart every time! Scotland the brave! ❤️
Glorious sound glorious regiment . Bags of swank God bless them
A THING OF BEAUTY AND PRIDE!! I LOVE IT!
These are the finest soldiers know to man! The Black Watch! No one prouder or fiercer in any battle!
My goodness, so proud of our service men. No-one does it better.
In the 70s I used to hang with the Black Watch in Seoul South Korea. Great guys. My job was to teach them how to bowl.
I don't think I would want to face these guys in battle. Scots are traditionally fierce warriors. Besides, if I was facing them and I heard those pipes coming toward me it would scare the holy carp out of me. Hats off. You guys rock!
And their name. The black watch! 😅 incase you werent scared enough already
@@mattharris6125 Yeah. It's comforting to know that there are bad ass good guys like this in the world. As an American I respect the hell out of these guys. Especially when they play Scotland The Brave. Brings a tear.
I'm an American and I feel just as patriotic as any Brit. Maybe my grandmother being born there has something to do with it. Maybe the brave Brits fighting with great unending courage during WW2 has a lot to do with it. Love bagpipes. Love Brits.
My Grandfather was a member of the Black Watch, a very long time ago.
My family’s regiment for generations where the Black Watch, I was always told “wherever the pipes are that’s where the fighting is” 🏴
I love watching these bands marching this was a great performance, very high quality and entertaining. Should have been more people
watching them and I noted not many 20' somethings there watching.
Exactly,if it was Robbie Williams it would've been packed 🤦♂️🏴🇬🇧
My husband's Father was Black Watch, and a hard man from all reports. Always send the Scots in first!
Very stirring. The Black Watch tartin was my school uniform and has a interesting history. Love the pony. Marching, playing an instrument and avoided idiots with videos. Pretty impressive. Hi from Australia 🐨
As i'am finnish antitank jäger, i truly admire scottish culture, we have many similarities between our countries❤️ long live scotland💪👍
Hey bro, oddly enough there's a strain of Finnish DNA found in the Scottish population,we're brothers 🙏
Excellent …love being of Scottish decent ,my grandfather coming to Australia from Edinburgh in 1926
You’re one of us then x
thanks for this video - nice town, music is fantastic - like Scotland and the tradicion that they keeps and special this music that make my heart strong beating !!! loving from Serbia!
Organização, rigor, alinhamento. Resultado final sempre excepcional. Parabéns, obrigado Portugal
Nice won Jim thanks dose my heart proud I first herd the bagpipes in a camp in kent when I was adopted at 3
Sargeant Cruachan always brightens my day 🤩
Lance Corporal
Another excellent recording. You are the best promoter they have. Kudos.
Absolutely fantastic! I still remember getting to jointly play with my brass band and the local regiment bagpipes in my part of Canada. I could not even hear my horn-could only tell I was making sound from the vibration on my bell hand-and just enjoyed every second. To be clear, it kicked a** and was a musical highlight! I’d love to learn bagpipes too.
Once again l can't get enough of watching The Black Watch Pipe Band. Great to see the Tenor Drummer Flourishing his sticks in the tradional way instead of all this nonsense of showmanship that you see at the World Pipe Championship Grade One.
Stick to tradition, anyone can wave their arms in the air.

The British took a bagpipe and did the small music.. Never forget the large music. And tune and tone on.this video was exemplary.
There are nothing like the beautiful and majestic sound of Scottish Bagpipes in military march. Honor to this soldiers.
my gr. uncle was with the royal highlanders or Blackwatch that stormed Vimy Ridge in 1917..last war they wore kilts..Germans called them..Ladies from Hell..
Beautiful to see well done boys 👍🌟❤️🙏🌹🌹🌹
Well. I think it is good, that the ancient ladies from hell now will fight together with the Germans. Against common ennemies.
Daß ist genial
Very impressive! Much Love from USA!
Looked wonderful and a steady pace of 100paces a minute
A few years ago well many i saw a parade in Buckie loved it and lucky enough to live near Windsor now and see this every other day but you can't beat the pipes and drums
It is my goal to come see one of these parades in person! The energy even on video is wow
Me to!
Love it!! The stoic march, the uniformity. The overall cadence….. and then that one single time looking to the right to pay respect and homage for the ones before them…. Gets me everytime
Respect from an Aussie born of Scotish parents....
Sorry ratrodrob hall. I went off on one there. Apologies
I served with a couple Black Watch brothers inYemem they are Badass!
How can you not be captivated by this inspirational parade. I'm English but proud of our Scottish Regiment
best wishes from Sweden keep up traditions LOVE IT
As an Englishman i was attached to the 1st battalion RHF with the REME in Deilinghofen who were then replaced with the Gordon Highlanders. around 20mins away is a town called Wickede where the Black Watch were stationed. (early 1980s)
What did you feel Sir watching this parade ?
Shivers and goosebumps . Scotland Forever
