- I was lucky to be among the first tourists to visit Saudi Arabia under the new tourist visa in October 2019 (part of Vision 2030). Riyadh was a very interesting city to me due to the variety of sights. In this video you will see:

I’m Saudi and I don’t understand why some people are mad at him for showing OUR heritage. This is the point of traveling, if he wanted to see civilization he would’ve stayed in his own country, and he clearly understands that we aren’t living like this anymore. Tourists will go to the traditional sights everywhere (e.g. Rome, Athens). To me, the area with traditional houses in Riyadh was enchanting. 🙂

stgtravels yes, i watched a video for a tourist who obviously came to talk with Saudis about politic things, like he didn’t go to a single place and enjoy it. He latterly observing differences and asking politic questions. I felt like he thinks that we are aliens.
In any place in the world there are strange thinks to you, because of the different culture and religion and even environment and when someone go to explore a country he must respect there life and the way it is. I think it’s all because of the media that giving us the wrong picture, but that guy don’t have the right to show his thoughts to the public. Anyone may find Saudi Arabia a strict country, but we are happy and nice people.
Most of your tour, as Riyadh was very old neighborhoods that the Saudis do not live in now, and most of them are workers, so we thank you for coming. You are a wonderful person. We wish you a beautiful life

Thanks a lot for this video and regards to my Saudi friends here. I am Persian and as you may know, it is not possible for us visit KSA other than Hajj. I personally love the way KSA is transforming and I love to visit your country one day. I know we have had a bloody history for centuries, but I believe there is a bigger potential for peace than hostility between the two nations. The changes brought by MBS are well observed by the Iranian people and we are gald KSA is becoming a better place for its citizens and women.
It is really sad for me when I see people from around the world can visit KSA, but Persians as a neighboring nation are not allowed to :(
I know what my government is doing in the Middle East and I want to tell you that we the Iranian nation DO NOT agree with our foreign policy.
Keeping my fingers crossed for a day when bigots and extremists in both countries are substituted with wise and peace-loving politicians.
We, as Arabs, love the Persians and the Iranian people as a whole, such as the Pashtuns, the Kurds, the Tajiks, etc. You are all brothers to us and throughout history we have formed a bilateral and deep historical homogeneity until now your cousins go to our country and we love them Pakistan and Afghans, and they are among the love of the peoples working in Saudi Arabia, but unfortunately the Islamic revolution in Iran was destroyed The country has actually distorted your beautiful history, and I hope that this situation will change and a political reconciliation will take place and this long crisis will end and be just history.
I miss living in Riyadh. A fantastic city and I’d be happy to return anytime.
